I love coming here for a quick lunch because they have the 2/$14 chicken shawarma deal. It's great value if you come with a friend. You have to get the chicken shawarma but you can put whatever toppings and sauces you want (don't need to follow the 4 preset combos). The service here is great and it's not too slow either. The service is very friendly and the food is fantastic. They have a great selection, even have student discounts if you are a student. There is not a huge sitting area, but there is ample seating. Staff were very unhelpful and just tried to push me through when I asked what they have, or even where a menu is. I'm sure the food is fantastic, but this was a very strange experience I'd prefer no to go through again. I'll update with the quality of the shawarma. Well the shawarma was terrible. But I was contacted by the manager after posting my review. He mentioned there was likely a language barrier creating the problems which really I believe needs to be sorted out. But he also offered to provide a free meal to show me what they're capable of. Had a great experience at this Shawerma Plus location. The staff were very friendly and polite. There's a great special where you get 2 chicken shawarma wraps for $13 which is what I got. The wraps are a good size and there are several options for fillings which is nice. I recommend the English style with fries added!While not listed on the menu, you can buy salads for about $6.50. You will find yourself extremely impressed and satisfied with the quality of the food and overall balanced taste HOWEVER I must make a point out of this sometimes they do not balance ingredients correctly, in other words, there isn't enough meat is how much sauce the put the number of fries etc. sometimes you will be mildly dissatisfied with what you get because there's not enough meat or there's not enough sauce etc. but in other scenarios, you will be completely blown away. The fattoush salad.I'm a diehard mozy fan but this changed it for me. Mozy usually has nappy bad pieces of lettuce in the shawarma plate. After my last shawerma plus experience didn't seem like I would go back. I see that they brought back the 2 shawermas for 9.99 and the shawerma plate is pretty good. That salad is great and has nice acidity which is what I want in salad. The fries are still kinda pasty cause they are mccains and mozy has some crispy fries, but I like the shawerma plate.Meat is a little lacking, but at the end I'm not dead from eating so maybe that's a good thing. Great food!! Opened closer to the University of Waterloo just a week ago and I've already been there twice! A little expensive but the food is good. I was quite impressed with the staff as a guy made a mistake with my order today, charging me too much, but came to apologize and handed me the extra I had paid. As I had already paid he could have kept the error from me but the fact that he came and returned the extra money and apologized was really honourable!! Hope they keep up the great customer service.
