WHAT IS BOTOX® ?
Botox® and Dysport are brand names of the botulinum toxin. Botox®, and Dysport are a prescription medicine that is injected into the muscle to improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles. They are well-known botulinum toxin. Dysport is highly effective and safe. Both have been studied widely and have been approved by Health Canada and the FDA for cosmetic use.
THE BOTOX PROCEDURE.
After a booked free consultation with the Professional medical director, to review your medical history and it will be decided if Botox® is the best treatment option for you base on you medical history. Once you’ve had our consultation and have decided on Botox®, or Dysport. With the Medical Practitioner, you will discuss your desired results, review your medical history and ask any questions before the treatment begins. This is a non-surgical treatment. From here, the Medical Practitioner will examine your facial muscles and determine where to administer the injection. They will then inject small amounts of the product into the muscles in the area around your frown lines. Typically, the actual injection process usually takes about 10 to 25 minutes.
DOES BOTOX® HURT?
With this treatment, most of our clients report minimal discomfort– it can feel like a pinch. Everyone is different. If you’re concerned about pain, talk to your Medical Practitioner about applying a topical numbing cream before the treatment begins.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS FROM BOTOX?
You may begin to notice changes within 24 to 48 hours. You will typically see results about 10-14 days following treatment. Although everyone is different, most clients see and feel their results for about four months following treatment.
