Q&As

Hearing an owner tell me when they first contact me that I am their last resort before the dog goes to a shelter. At the end of our journey that owner would now no longer dream of giving the dog up.

My love of dogs ( and all animals), finding all those years ago there was little in the way of training that I could relate to, and learning new methods that were pain free & fear free and yet easy for everyone to do. I wanted to help those dogs stay in their forever homes with both dog & human happy with the relationship .

I have my own indoor heated training facility. I match training with your actual needs, not generic courses. Personal touch (I rarely do group classes). Attention to detail, depth of knowledge that I accumulated over the years, and additional resources (notes, youtube videos, summaries of each session) so you have references to go back to rather than having to rely on your memory. With one on one training you can start immediately, and schedule at your convenience...no waiting for a class to start at a time you can't make.

I started online training at the very start of Covid in March 2020. But it is something I had been planning to do for some time before that. These are not generic courses but live one on one sessions with me just as you would get in person. I often use a demo dog (sometimes live sometimes stuffed) to illustrate a point. You still receive all the other resources as you would with in person sessions. I use Zoom, Facetime, Google Meet or Facebook Messenger.
Online is great not just for safety from pandemic but for any number of reasons: your dog gets car sick, gets frightened or aggressive going to strange places or having strange people come into their home, you live too far away, the weather is too bad to drive in.

If we meet in person I follow health unit protocols...only one person brings the dog, masks on at all times, physical distancing, hand sanitizer available & sanitizing between clients.
