We had Refinity take over the property we were using another company for management. The other pm was non communicative.
Claimed every tenant issue to be wear and tear and did zero preventative maintenance for our house. It was such a scary experience as we were out of country. Every Refinity took over management. service request from tenants and owner's questions all been addressed without issue very promptly.
Recently due to the cold weather the house we were renting drain pipes completely froze and exploded, their team came on the same day despite heavy snow. They were communicative and fair in arrangements needing to be made, costs, and timeline. They did a great job setting expectations and results, when our next home in Richmond closes we will continue to let Refinity team be the property manager for our rentals.

Refinity Homes team is very patient and the manager checks in on me often and provides regular updates during the leasing process and thje property management afterward. They guided me through the entire process and helped me understand each part along the way and we ended up with some excellent tenants for my house. The leasing team and post-leasing teams are the best. The rate is very reasonable considering how much time and effort they put into selecting the right tenant not just in numbers but also in terms of fit. I am seriously considering giving them a few other homes in Burnaby we own so they manage most of my portfolio, as it is just such a hassle to self-manage and deal with the tenants and turns. Their property management team and leasing teams are top-notch professionals. All the management details are handled with proficiency and all repair tasks with the utmost diligence.
I remember an instance when the home's living room chandelier in the house broke. Their repair team not only replaced it promptly but also inspected the pipes behind the ceiling and found a preventative maintenance item that would have prevented an entire ceiling job! Refinity Homes, they're the real deal! No kidding, they got tenants for my places in a single weekend. If that doesn't scream efficiency, I don't know what does! Been with them for 2 years now, and they've been taking care of five of my properties like absolute pros. It's like I've offloaded my stress onto them, and they've been just fine with it. I have the pleasure of working with a few members of the Refinity Homes team - Frank, etc. Being the first time we rented out our home, we appreciated their responsive technological approach (emails, calls, online videos, home owners portal, resident portal, online rent payment/transfer, etc) as well as the personal touch such as meeting with their company owner when starting the property management process. The thing that sets them apart from other property management companies is the "Tenant Guarantee" option because it lets you know the company also has some skin in the game. Overall, it's been a great experience so far. I no longer have to stress over finding tenant and all Refinity's team has been super responsive to the tenant as far as I am aware of. My tenant is seems pretty happy with their service. For example, when the roof cracked they had contacted almost 10 companies and found a quote that was less than 50% of what I used to pay and it was fixed on the same day! I hope for Refinity Homes to get better and better because I will rely on their services in the long term! More...

What inspired you to start your own business?
Back in 2008, during the midst of the financial crisis, our founder started the company after immigrated to Canada with only $8000 in his pocket and his young family. He experienced firsthand the ups and downs of property management and leasing in Canada. He decided that at the time nobody would deliver the consistent, trustworthy, and worry-free way of life that our founder envisioned for both homeowners and residents.
