Tonight, I'm taking my Sweetie to dinner at her favourite restaurant.The Endless Shrimp $21.99 event is on right now; choose any 2 preparations from five different types of shrimp. I'm sold.Our appetizer was the Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms $10.99.My Sweetie chose the Seaport Lobster and Shrimp $28.97.From the beverage menu... a 15oz can of Mill St. Cobble Stone Stout $7.49 please and thank you Plus a Corona Extra $6.99 for the young lady.Restaurant staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient. Serving staff (Bianca) did a great job with explaining the drink and menu selections; very enthusiastic in up-selling patrons to high profit choices.The restrooms were nice and clean. We celebrated my birthday here last month because my family knows I love seafood. Surprisingly, when we went a little later than usual during dinner time, there were no lineups and we were seated immediately. The service was exceptional. My wife mentioned that it was my birthday and we got an ice-cream sundae after our meal. No matter what time you come, it will already be busy with a long lineup at around 5:30pm. Luckily, we only waited for about 15 minutes before we were seated for a table of three. One had the mussels, another had the build your own combo of chicken and shrimp with a side of baked potato, and I had the bar harbour lobster bake. Some advice to those who wish to visit the Red Lobster1) There are only few Red Lobster's in the GTA and as such the place is packed after 6:00 pm on the weekend and 5:00 pm on weekdays. 2) Red Lobster does not take reservations. But you can "Call Ahead" which I am still not sure if it gets you priority seating. 3) Parking is tight. Consider reversing in. Backing out without dinging any cars is a feat worthy of Houdini. 4) the sweet Thai chili shrimp made for a great starter and the warm apple crostada was a great end to the meal. As for itself. No one at my table could finish their main of fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. It was good and the portions were generous. The calm chowder was so-so. But with their signature cheese buns it made up for the lack of taste. The other low was their Caesar. No offering of extra parma nor black pepper. Again bland and tasteless. Odd for a place known for their unlimited salad and soup. Still it was a good night out. The service was ok. Had our group of six not asked for separate bills the tip might not have been as generous. It was my first time to be here in this branch with my wife. We had a reservation but Oh Boy, the restaurant was full packed at 6pm. Anyway, I did not mind the crowd, and just to experience the food.
