These people breached the contract by not providing a service I paid for. I was told the completion would take 6-8 weeks, they never completed the service, its been 5 months now.

Hi Adam, I’m truly sorry you feel this way. The delays as communicated multiple times, is on the plug-in provider that you purchased. We’ve provided you with the case number for you to follow up on as that they are working on a solution. To be clear you have not paid for this delay. As agreed, we moved budget from your other services for 1 month to save you money. The other services were still rendered despite your chargebacks. While our timelines have been met for work we are responsible for, we are not responsible for plugins the client purchased that do not work properly and the developer of that plug-in is not as responsive as either of us would like.

Beware.... if you wish to have a website service break you company use Rankworks. Mark Taylor will share your screen and tell you he will make you a $47M company overnight! !! Stay clear of this company... gave the a credit card to build a website and come to find out they only redirected my old wesite to their new Woocommerce platform. When they redirected they lost all my google rankings to none other sell us an SEO plan. As we had our teams watching close they were using keywords that Google did not except sine 2009. We all agreed that it was not working. Our sales went from $200k to $219.00. Thats right, all in 6 months. As our sales fell off completely and Rankworks continued to, "Dig their heels in." We then investigated, we come to find out everything was broken within the site including our cart. Sent several emails and left with no response for weeks, because they did not have the answers. They fraudulently chaged my card through another company after we had put a block on them for overbilling. We have now been seeking legal help to stop them from fraudulently charging my for $8000. Early termination. We would have not terminated if they would do what they agreed to do. They now are atempting to keep trying to charge under differnt company names. These guys are Canadian theifs and i mean this..... they over billed for $15,000.00 for poor poor work. My sales dropped from over $200k to $219. In a 6 month period. I dropped them and now have to cancel all my credit cards because they are so used to collecting money for doing the bare minimum.... Be advised. A very toxic compay that only wants your credit card one time! After that you will be robbed blind. I never had to give a negative review but now daily i need to call and check credit cards to see if Rankworks is still trying to bill using other company names. Laurel Optics signed a contract for SEO services with our company. At the time they were experiencing a severe drop off in sales due to their website selling weapons on Shopify which is against their policies. The merchant processor was giving them problems and refusing to process payments for what it considered high risk. We were given a second contracted work of migrating their website to a different platform and finding them a high risk processor that would be able to help them rebuild sales. To be clear, we were not paid for the additional research time to find the processor but did it with the intention of helping a client in distress. The client signed multiple contracts with our company all documenting responsibilities of each party. During the following 3 month period once the site was live on the new platform, keyword ranking increased by over 1510 positions and organic traffic tripled. Sales grew back to over $2800 as a result of the improved positioning and was on track to regaining lost ground over the coming months. All of the above is well documented and was provided to the client. It was at this point that the client began taking steps to the detriment of their online business. The clients URL through Google merchant centre account which was under review for violating policies regarding weapons and other firearm related accessories was taken back by John Nastase the owner to be used with an alternate one which was a violation of the review policy. This resulted in the clients account being flagged for deceptive tactics. The client terminated his contract with us and hired another individual who is not certified to take on the SEO work who has since caused them to lose over 2500 positions on Google. We have this documented as well. With respect to charges. All charges are documented in the signed contract. We did not charge anything but what was agreed to by the client in the contract they signed. Any claim to the contrary is dishonest and an attempt to slander. It is unfortunate but not surprising that an individual who signs multiple contracts and is trying to find ways to get around policies of both Google and Shopify would choose to blame others for the choices he has made. Google and Shopify policies are there to protect themselves and the end user. It is better to work within the framework than take the steps Laurel Optics has taken. Let this be a warning to business owners who try to circumvent policies.
