I came to know Rakhi just by luck of the draw when I completed an online request for a call back on 'RateHub'... I am a former RE agent and work in the financial industry and will say that Rakhi is truly exceptional in both knowledge and caring for her clients. Just called for an appointment to discuss our mortgage possibilities and was rudely told by the owner that she doesn't meet with people without an application.  Oh well. Her loss of well qualified clients.  She probably should ask a few questions before spitting that out.  Perhaps customer service is not her strength. My wife and I were looking for a new home to fit the needs of our growing family. We found a home but was concerned about affordability due to my wife being on maternity leave so our realtor suggested that we contact Rakhi Madan. From the first phone conversation we felt extremely comfortable with Rakhi, within 24 hours of speaking with Rakhi she advise us that we could afford the home and to move forward and make an offer. Although we ended up losing the home to another buyer Rakhi already had a secondary plan in place to ensure my family had financial freedom, within a day Rahki had refinancing in place that would ensure my family is in a better position moving forward until we found that perfect family home. I’ve dealt with other mortgage brokers before however I have never received the high level of service that Rakhi provided us, Rakhi has literally been their every step of the way – from the approval process to the congratulation phone call. I never post reviews, but Rakhi’s excellence has compelled me to do so. I found Rakhi from a Facebook ad and I must say that it’s the best thing that ever happened through Facebook. I was a RBC customer and sold and bought a property during my term so I was subject to a huge penalty to break the mortgage. Like anyone else, I was focused on minimizing the penalty associated with breaking the mortgage. I found Rakhi and I sat down with her to review my situation, I was convinced that I was dealing with someone who is not transactional and who was constantly working in my best interest. Rakhi set up a long term strategy for my finances. She showed me how it was better long term to break the mortgage. The RBC Rep told me that I had to pay a minimum of 20% down payment, but she did the deal with a 6% down payment and helped me save most of the penalty over the term. I wish I had found her before. Let me start by saying.. ‘Rakhi is the BEST in the industry’. Congrats Rakhi on your Platinum award! Our experience dealing with independent mortgage agents was HORRIBLE! . I can’t tell you the circus we went through just to get them to acknowledge a single Call! This was our second attempt in approaching an independent mortgage specialist. I must tell you, approaching Rakhi is the Best thing we did! Thanks to Google reviews, coz that’s how I met her. She spent enough time with us, got to know us personally, our priorities, our Choices and explained her style of working. Her Mantra as I understand it is ‘Product is as important as the Rate’. And I am with her on it 100%! From the day One, it was Rakhi who called me, not the other way around! You won’t believe her customer service until you experience it! she texts you, emails you, meets you when needed and is in constant touch till closing. We submitted a mortgage application for a product and it was approved, in 2 days I got a call from Rakhi saying ' Hey there is a new product in the market and i think we should apply for it and see". I mean... who does that? call back when a better product is available? She believes and delivers 'Quality of service' in everything she does! Like us, Rakhi believes in Quality than on Quantiity. I highly recommend taking the time to meet with Rakhi. My wife and I had been to banks in the past and really didn't have a comfortable or confident feeling after meeting with any of the in-house staff at banks (TD, NBC, Tandia). (FYI - many banks train their staff on the front line in these positions and give incentives to their employees on all the products - meaning many are still fresh and learning - while helping you with one of your biggest life decisions) We took a half hour to sit down with Rakhi before we bought our first home and it was the best 30 minutes we could have invested in our future. Rakhi explained everything to us in layman's terms - helped us understand why getting the lowest rate may not always be the best option and how to avoid large penalties if you decide to move early. We've since sold our first home and bought another one with Rakhi. I've also referred my father to Rakhi (which he also used her services). Whenever I hear my friends mention they are going to a big bank to get their mortgage I have to laugh (and it's always followed up with me giving out Rakhi's info). After all - if I didn't at the very least share Rakhi's info I'd be doing my friends and loved ones a BIG disservice. Rakhi is going to get you a mortgage through one of the banks - it's just that she's in your corner and actually wants to ensure you're happy with the product and is actually available at pretty much any hour to text/call. Rakhi allowed us to feel confident about buying and making the right decision for our family of four.
