The Podollan is a lovely environment with a wonderful staff. I recently had Easter brunch there and the food was top notch. From the breakfast staples like waffles and bacon to their spin on eggs Benedict which was mouth watering. The displays of fruit, breads and desserts were impressive also. Earlier this month I stayed at the Podollan Inn & Spa for five nights and would highly recommend this property. The level of service and attention to detail was incredible throughout my entire stay. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, they went above and beyond to help with anything I needed or wanted. I was also part of hosting an event at this location and as an event planner, the staff were professional and took initiative to make our event amazing and added special touches to the venue and menu. If there were any questions or concerns, the staff had answers and solutions. They were a pleasure to work with. My hotel room was exceptionally clean, the chef created a special meal on two evenings at the bar (it was delicious) and you can tell that the staff feel valued because of their level of service (also ordered room service one evening and the food was awesome). Hospitality at its finest! Thank you Podollan Inn & Spa for the amazing service and delicious meals! It is apparent that the owners have a high standard because the staff always go above and beyond. Food in Jax is amazing and the chef was open to preparing vegan meals for me with notice and he did that with joy, you can tell he loves what he does. Also, we held an event in the Pavillion Room and the space was perfect and the staff amazingly attentive. We are currently staying at this hotel and do every time we are in town. It is an absolutely wonderful hotel and by far the best in Grande Prairie. The standard room is good for o e person but would recommend upgrading if a couple or more if possible for the extra room and comfort. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are beyond clean. The staff is always so professional polite and going out of there way to make you stay great. I've been meaning to write a review for years now and figure it's about time this hotel and staff gets recognized. The location is also great to access restaurants like Maddhatters and The Keg which are both fantastic. We will be back over and over so keep up the great work. More...

Went up for the folk festival and stayed here, the rooms are very nice and big, including the huge bathroom. The staff is very courteous and the breakfast buffet was delicious. We will be back next year!

My home for the last 5 days. Really nice hotel; well laid out rooms with dark wood finishes and 9' ceilings. Things to keep in mind though is that my room didn't have an air conditioner, which is really surprising these days since even 1 star motels have this basic feature. My co-worker had a/c and it was cool all week that we stayed here, so if you call to book a room, make sure you ask for a room with air conditioning (if applicable to you). Free continental breakfast, 24 hr free coffee station, spa in lobby (definitely not free) and on certain nights, have free food & drinks in the lobby. Friendly staff that were very accommodating. We booked into a suite at the Podollan for a special occasion. Our room was beautiful, the bed was comfy, and there was a really nice little sitting/ dining area. The bathroom was great, with separate tub/ shower, and double sinks.    We ordered room service well in advance for a specific time, planning to enjoy a leisurely supper together in our room. Unfortunately, it was quite late, causing us to have to rush through our meal (which wasn't cheap) and almost be late for the spa service we had booked, and subsequently receive some snark for that from the spa staff. This hotel has a nice finished interior. Rooms nicely appointed with some art. Yet there is a sterility to the rooms. Small flat-panel televisions, with cable boxes on the table. One good thing is there is a individual Internet router for each room in the hotel so you can hardwire your computer for faster speeds, or have your own Wi-Fi network within your suite.The rooms also have a Keurig  K cup coffee machine, which is a lot better than a lot of hotels, as you are able to at least get a decent cup of coffee in the morning.A free inclusive breakfast is available from 7 to 11 AM each day. They serve Starbucks here.The staff are very friendly and attentive to needs.The one odd downfall of my stay is the bed, yet I got a decent sleep, I could not help notice the mattress sloping to one side. Through the night as I roll over I feel like I'm about to fall off one side of the bed. Plus the top of the bed seems to be a little stiff, like some form of memory foam or something.The keg restaurant is located across the street, and a large mall available for shopping. More...

I booked a king suite with full bathroom for my birthday. I seriously couldn't have been happier with our experience at the podollan! To go to a place in GP that actually has great customer service blew me away not to mention the fantastic food and service we received at Jax and the awesome renos they've done throughout the building.
