I was referred to Paws Avenue and want to warn others to STAY AWAY! This groomer will take the easy way out because they don’t know your dog breed, and would shave your 5 month old puppy until her pink skin was visible without even a phone call to ask if you would consent to it.
I would never have agreed for you to do that! When I pointed out that I should have been consulted regardless of how “matted she was”, Evelyn gave me an impatient eye roll and said “you said you wanted short” and “how would you like to pay!!” I also said I wanted her top body fur long and there is no excuse for not consulting me before you decide you can traumatize my puppy this way, and then put the blame on me. My puppy was shaking when I saw her at the grooming table. Ellen the groomer clearly does not understand this breed of dog for her to have shaven my Coton de Tulear down this way. The careless and unprofessional attitude shows disregard for the dog as well as disrespect for the owner.
NEVER going back and leaving this comment here to save others from the horrendous experience. Read the other negative reviews and the unprofessional attitude is consistent whenever there is an issue with them.

Highly recommend to all pet lovers! This is the best pet grooming shop I have ever brought my dog. The owner is very friendly and taking really good care of my fur baby. My dog is used to be very shy and reluctant to visit groomers but he loves here and very happy after the grooming when I go pick up him. Store is very well organized and cleaned and also spacious. They have enough room as waiting area for the dogs wait for their owners. Reception girl is also very friendly and responds to your inquiry&appoint quickly. I always drive 60-90 mins to here just because this is the best place for my dog and it totally worths the travel! More...

I’ve had small dogs since 2011 and have had them groomed in Mattawa, Ontario, North Bay, Ontario, Toronto, Ontario, Brooksville Florida, Tampa, florida and parts in between. Paws Avenue Grooming Salon in Mississauga, Ontario has, by far, the very best groom and the friendliest, most knowledgeable staff I have experienced. We have been taking our Himalayan breed cat here since they opened. Most grooming salons only have 1 cat groomer with limited availability, but Paws Avenue can always accomodate our feline friend. Evelyn and her mom are lovely people who provide professional customer service. Especially in comparison to the 2 previous owners of grooming salons at this location....I like that they discuss what the grooming will entail and have you sign a waiver detailing the agreement. I also appreciate the text message notification when the grooming is complete. The groomer was even good enough to let me know my cat had some bald patches (likely due to stress from some changes in our house) which I otherwise would've missed. More...

This is salon is just lovely. I have been taking my little dog to them since they opened. They give her the best cut shape and style I have ever had. I just love her style every time I pick her up. They are extremely friendly and consistent. My dog usually trembled so bad when I bring her to a groomer but she does not here. They are attentive, gentle and kind. The other thing I love is that they don't cage the dogs and as soon as she is finished thy text me and it is always done in a reasonable time.
