My Springer had a wonderful first grooming experience at Pawfect Spa! Elsie and her team trimmed and cleaned her up beautifully. We will definitely be back!

The staff are amazing and very welcoming! They did a fantastic job getting these two ready for my brother’s wedding! No dog is to shaggy, matted or messy for them, they are very patient and show lots of love to every animal that comes into their care! The environment and the ladies make you feel like a family member instead of a customer! Thank you again for all your hard work for the last 10 years ! I highly recommend to everyone! More...

This is an awesome place. They got my 8 month old Aggie in on the same day I call, for her 1st hair cut, and she looks amazing. Very friendly staff, I will be bringing her back to them for future Spa days! More...

I highly recommend Pawfect Spa for grooming. Elsie and her team did a beautiful groom on my dog Finn and she was meticulous about making sure it was done exactly as I liked. I am very particular with his cut and she made sure it was done to my liking, and I could not have been more pleased. More...

I took my 1.5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, George, to Pawfect Spa last weekend and was EXTREMELY impressed with the results. I was a little nervous to leave George with a groomer for the first time; I had heard stories of groomers giving abysmal cuts (I've seen pictures of Cavaliers whose coats were completely destroyed) or worse, actually injuring dogs(my friend's precious Shih-poo was harmed by a groomer in Toronto a couple years ago). Needless to say, I did A LOT of research before selecting a groomer for George. I ultimately chose Pawfect Spa because of all the rave reviews and I was not disappointed. From the first phone call, the owner Elsie was friendly, knowledgable and very professional. Pawfect Spa is a small salon, which I much prefer to a bigger place where my dog might not receive the same level of care and attention. It's also very bright and clean. I felt very comfortable leaving George there, especially since Elsie came out to introduce herself to him and play for a couple minutes while I filled out all the forms. I think this made things easier for George as well. I was very impressed that Elsie knew all about the breed standard for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (she asked if I was intending to show him or not). Her knowledge and experience was very evident when I came to pick up George three hours later (because he had so many knots and tangles to be removed, Elsie had to extend the length of his appointment, but she did not increase the price from what she originally quoted me). She and her team did a PHENOMENAL job. George looked so beautiful, smelled incredible and his coat was soft and fluffy. He looked like a million bucks as he pranced out of the salon and onto Avenue Road.I have already recommended Pawfect Spa to all my friends with dogs (especially Cavaliers) and will not hesitate to return with George in the future. My quiet little Shih-poo may be every dog groomer's worst nightmare.  Contrary to the usual cooing from his grandparents and other random senior citizens, groomers seem, well, somewhat exasperated by him. Sometimes it was a dismayed comment, "what a little monkey your dog is", which is particularly upsetting for the less obvious reason that I had indeed settled for dog instead of actual monkey.  Or, an admonishing, "it took 3 of us to groom him" which invariably follows the unspoken: better leave bigger tip.  Fortunately, a few years ago after giving up on another Yorkville groomer, I discovered Pawfect Spa.  The space is clean and bright and the staff are friendly, but what really got my attention is that the owners are not just shop owners, but also dog owners of seemingly high maintenance dogs!  Trust me, this is quite rare in my experience.  Though it's going back a few years since my dog's first groom at Pawfect Spa, I clearly recall my surprise when I meekly asked the usual, "uh, how was he?" and received the unusual, "he was great."  Yes, he looked great, in fact, my partner couldn't resist referring to him as "toy dog", but what about all that monkey business?  The groomer seemed perplexed by my concern for her sanity and I, for the first time didn't have to offer an apology!Still, when I returned the next time, I asked more directly, "was he difficult?" to which the groomer sweetly replied, "well, he doesn't like his paws touched, but one of us talks to him while the other grooms." And let me reiterate, the grooming IS great; actually, it's only gotten better over time and still not even the slightest grievance from any of the groomers.  There has never been a cut, nick or scratch nor have I ever seen him returned to me with irritated bloodshot eyes.  It did take a few visits to figure out the length I preferred on his limbs and face, but once we did, Elsie took photos and matched it each subsequent visit.Lastly, a couple of years ago, my dog started losing hair and Elsie suggested he get checked out for Cushing's Disease.  I did, and well, she had totally called it.  If Elsie was my vet, she would have saved me almost $800 for various tests that simply confirmed what she had suspected. It's been a relief to find a dog spa that I can trust and unlike previous groomers, I can genuinely say that I don't fret when my dog is with Elsie and her staff.  I highly recommend and will keep going back! We have taken our dog to Pawfect for almot 6 years. They are fantastic; we even went downtown when they closed their North York location. That's how loyal we are to these guys. Our dog always gets a great cut and they always consult with us to ensure they are doing what we want. More...

When I took my Golden Doodle Bella for her first groom there , I explained exactly what I wanted and didn't want, and the results were perfect. I have had 3 other groomers and nobody has come close to the level of grooming like Pawfect Spa.  They are great with all the dogs that I've seen going in and out of there.  Elsie and her staff are all very friendly and do excellent work.  I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great groomer.
