I was very close to giving up on our 9 week old puppy. He was nipping and biting and my 8 and 5 year old kids were so scared and anxious that they would run from the dog. I did not know how to control his behavior. In just two hours Carlos restored a calm in the kids, in me and in the puppy. Thanks to Pawblem's easy online appointment scheduler, I was able to book an appointment the very next day and Carlos came to my place promptly on time. Not only did he help my dog overcome his fear of elevators but, also helped me understand my dog's mentality and how best to train him.He was gentle but firm with my dog and took his time with him unlike other trainers who would push for extra sessions once the time is up. He genuinely worked through the session without rushing. He actually helped me by coming to the pet shop to try find a dog backpack to meet my dog's excessive energy needs! Fast forward to less than a week, my dog happily runs before me into the elevator, waits at the main door instead of dashing out when I open it. Carlos totally changed our interaction and our relationship with our puppy, Romeo. Romeo was biting way more than a puppy should and felt like he was in control of our household! My puppy Theodore and I had the most wonderful experience with Carlos. Theo is a 10 month old Shichon, cute,cuddly and spoiled. He likes to jump up on people when they come in our home and start licking them. Carlos came in and immediately started working. As soon as he sat down Theo started to jump on him. Carlos continued speaking to me as if he wasn’t there. Theo kept trying and Carlos ignored him. I then saw Theo sit in front of him quietly and patiently (something that doesn’t usually happen), it was then that Carlos rewarded him by inviting him into his space. I was truly surprised. Theo always takes the lead but with Carlos’s help, I learned to take charge. He helped me to teach Theo to follow me when walking instead of him pulling on his leash and leading. I learned that my dog needs not only physical exercise but mental stimulation. Carlos came with a bag of useful tools to help with the mental stimulation, which I was able to purchase a few. Carlos was patient and knowledgeable about dogs, and you can tell he is a dog lover. He has left me with much needed insight on my puppy and I have been following what I learned. I’m happy to say Theodore is now walking next to me and getting a lot of exercise, both physically and mentally. Carlos was very helpful with our Wheaten Terrier Poodle (Whoodle) puppy Zoey. She was very anxious in her crate and if we would leave her alone for more then 10 minutes or so. Zoey was also not very interested in her food or treats that much regardless what goodies we put in front of her. Carlos spent an evening at our house to help us with Zoey and we did many brain games with her as he suggested there was more needed then us physically tiring her out....a happy puppy/dog is a happy puppy, which we hadn't thought of. We immediately go into a routine with Zoey of making her work for her food often (smaller meals) and this helped amazingly satisfy her so she is more settled being alone (and food in her belly). Carlos suggested a couple brain games that would help us, and even a couple days later he sent us a treat rug for Zoey that makes her sniff out her food..and she loves it. Carlos is an amazing trainer. We have tried petsmart training and it didnt work that well. We were kind of skeptic trying a personal trainer but Carlos is more than a trainer. He understands dogs so well. Coco (my dog) was already listening to him as soon as he entered the door. He was not in a rush at all and was very patience with all of our questions. He went on a walk with us taking Coco along and explained us in detail how to walk the dog. We have to listen to their body language. They communicate with you all the time. hi,my me is Jana and my daughter and I got a 8 weeks chihuahua. Super cute, super everything. also super smart super intelligent. we googled everything, did what the googl and people said,but she started to outsmart us. between many adds, I found Carlos and his company, and decided to go with him. best decision ever made!! he really doesnt train dogs,( animals), he trains people....lol. and really, how can u train an animal if u dont understand him, her. Carlos spend a half a day with us, and I can now eat my food on the couch, where ever,withou Beia crawling over me, trying to eat my food, AnD more. I recently brought up my Khali, a female Weimaraner, up to Toronto from Haiti and we wanted to get her some help to adjust to a busy city life. Khali definitely has the "stranger danger" attitude to her new environment and was just scared of her surroundings. my partner and I got in touch with Carlos to help us help Khali and we were very pleased with our experience. Carlos was on time, friendly and very positive! He helped us understand how to better respond to Khali's fears and what would mostly help her get all her energy out! We got Khali a backpack as Carlos recommended and we see a significant difference with her sleeping patterns and weariness. She is definitely more relaxed now! Carlos also explained how Khali was a "working dog" and how she needs her mind exercised as well haha and we think the exercise he has taught us have helped her adjust to her new environment here.
