While it is true that the kennel shows its age, from the moment you walk in you notice the lack of smell. It is clean with no trace of urine or overpowering chemicals. The indoor kennels with outdoor access & daily exercise area, plus walks make for happy pups. The staff are all very friendly & extremely knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable, even with the extra training I booked. We have put 3 dogs through obedience her over the last 20 year & the training staff are excellent! We have left our 2 higher energy dogs here for periods of 1 week or more on 2 separate occasions & been very happy with the care that they have received. The staff document walks & meds, extra training which has been arranged & how the dogs did, very thorough & thoughtful. I was anxious about bringing my 9yr old dog to a kennel for the first time. When we returned to pick her up after our 2 week trip, she was happy to see us but was otherwise calm, relaxed, and in no way stressed out. Their training is very good. I put my dog I their first set of classes and they've blown me away. My dog is so different now. So much more well behaved.

I boarded my dog for 3 days. I have never boarded but the reviews are amazing. I had to pay extra for walks and playtime. It is spring and i imagine it will look better by summer . Was not fond of no dog contact because some dogs need that. A cement surround tiny space and cement surround run just was not what i expected but some dogs will go nuts seeing other dogs and i u derstand that need.. However they do not require Bordatella because of that. They were very good with my dog and i think overall it is excellent kennel just not appealing in appearance for my personal opinion. Whenever I call, even with a few weeks before a major holiday, they ALWAYS have the room to accommodate my three large breed dogs. The facility is always clean upon arrival and the staff are very friendly. When myself and my husband return to pick up our dogs we sometimes get the chance to see them outside in a giant fenced pen playing with each other which I highly appreciate that they do. I have previously been to prior kennels where they keep dogs inside the tiny kennel the entire time. But at Parkland Kennels they allow your dogs to interact with each other in the outside giant pens. Thank you for always taking care of our pups! More...
