All the horror stories of movers, blackmail, changing terms midway, rude, taking advantage all came true
This was our second move with them (John) and we are shocked how can things change in a span of two years
I should have called the cops or taken them to court but they take advantage of the situation you are in in between the move and after first load they load half of 2nd load and then come back with terms … total blackmail … he was even recommended to me by my realtor
I have all the documentation of things we had agreed on and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in canada so far

Hello, I like to start with just like I respond to 5 star reviews I will respond to a 1 star review. My company always welcomes constructive criticism to help improve my customers experience. Over the years you always hear about bad movers but no one ever sees it from the movers perspective. I am aware of this client who we did move 2 years ago and moved them again in May 2022. I believe when writing a review you should share the full experience not just the negative moment. I will start with the move was done professionally and nothing was damaged or broken. Now as for payment amount is where the issue arised. Against my good judgement and past experience I offered a flat rate which we no longer offer. I charged based on the last move and the client was right in us over charging. When they received the flat rate amount it is calculated on a number of hours we think it should take. When doing walk through of a clients home we do not get to see the full picture as they will be packing up to the day of the move. On the day of the move my crew entered the home and saw a substantial amount of boxes. (over 100 boxes) Instead of advising the client there would be a extra charge they started to work and tried to finish on time within the flat rate amount. When they had gone over 2 loads which is what we did last time and we had to go back for a 3rd load this is where me and the client had a disagreement. The client was not happy for the added amount and I tried to explain. Company protocol is that when this occurs then you offer the client 2 options. 1 we finish up what ever we have in the truck and don't complete the move or 2 the client will have to pay and we will continue the job. The client stated they no longer trusted me so in return I asked for the money upfront on the last 3 hours before the job was complete. Client did not want to pay so we closed the truck door and advised client if they did not pay we would store there items. Again at this point it was for the original amount. The added $300 we charged was going to be paid 1 hour before we finished. After arguing back and forth the client agreed to pay. We finished the move and went our way. We finished the job at around 12am with no complain, and the client did not mention they changed the move date on us and we accommodated last minute. I will apologize for the inconvenience and I tried to reach out today May 26 to the client to find a resolution and to apologize for the whole situation but the client stated they did not want to talk to me. To be fair everyone should be paid for there work, nothing is free and that's all we wanted. Could we have handled this better, without a doubt and today going forward I will try and do better. To you Guarav and Vanya I will say i'm happy for your review and feedback what i'm not happy with is the way your handling the full Situation. Your going on various platforms and stating inaccurate stuff about the company and the full experience. You mention that we make false reviews. With all do respect you don't know me personally and for you to assume that is not accurate. I like to bring the word hostile, cops and blackmail. I have to disagree. Those words are a bit over the top. We are movers not criminals. Just like I respond to good reviews I have responded to a bad review which will stay on here. I will still thank you for using our services as you were a returning client. Our intention was not to make your move stressful. All the best and I hope we can move on Paradise Movers John
