Onno did some work for us a couple of months ago to improve grading and drainage. His work is exceptional, and we are very pleased with the appearance of our yard when he was done. Onno exceeded the expectations we had for our very hilly and extremely wet backyard. I like that he was able to fix the problems we had with the back yard without insisting on a costly hardscape like we had experienced with other companies we had spoken with. In the places that he needed some kind of retaining wall he used the boulders that were already on our property and actually in our way. He not only gave us a dry backyard that we can actually use; but now our wooded area is free of big boulders and flat enough to make a sitting area (which was something I hadn’t considered when I initially reached out). It was nice to have someone who took the time to discuss what we wanted but also explained where we might run into issues and what the process would then be. His work is excellent and his prices are very fair, if he is able to find a way to save a little time or money he does which is not something I have seen a whole lot of in my own landscaping career. 14/10 would definitely recommend and will hire again ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Creative, productive and professional. In Fall 2018, we decided to hire someone to address a 30K sqft problem area at the entrance to our property. We had several contractors and landscaping companies come out to give us recommendations and estimates. Most shrugged their shoulders and wished us luck, while the rest were only willing to address parts of the problem. Mr. Peters not only offered creative solutions, he was the only contractor willing to address the entire problem. Mr. Peters is unusually productive. No late arrivals, two hour lunches, long breaks for phone calls or early departures. For our project, he worked steadily, methodically, efficiently and mostly alone – no unneeded supervisors or hangers-on increasing the cost of the job. OPX is a professional operation. We encountered several unexpected complications and some self-inflicted changes during the project. Mr. Peters kept us well informed on the unexpected and worked with us to minimize the financial impact of our last minute changes. He has high standards for the quality of his work. He doesn’t cut corners and works the problem until he is proud of the result. It was a pleasure working with OPX Excavating & Landscaping and we look forward to engaging them on future projects.
