We had just a small bedroom to take care of. Upgrading our kids room to a big kid colour. Olympic City did a great job. Clean. Friendly. They even brought some biscuits for our dog. Love these guys. More...

We bit off more than we could chew and called Olympic City. They painter our master bedroom. Bath. Closet. Hallway. They even installed some new light fixtures. All at a fair price. They weren't the cheapest. But not the most expensive either. The team was great. More...

Jonathan and his guys are awesome. They have a great team. Are polite. They want to do their best and want to make sure you work with them again in the future. And their interior designers are superheroes. While they look like a young company, their team is more than capable with years of experience. They are my go to recommended painters. More...
What do you love most about your job?
So, I've been in the 'home' business since 2003 when we started working with clients on interior design work and then moved into a rather large retail location for ten years.
Growing up, I never expected to be in a business like this, but the mental, emotional, and physical transformations that people go through when their space is transformed is...how we say...really cool!
As a man, we don't often think too much about color or spaces or how they can affect our performance in everyday life. I have a rather successful business friend who says, "If it weren't for the female influence we'd all be walking around in white t-shirts and blue jeans. I think he's right.
But what has been so cool as we've taken our business in new directions is to see just how much color can affect a space, and therefore the people who are in that space on a daily basis. It's pretty cool.
What inspired you to start your own business?
So...great question. As an Olympian in a timed event. A goalie in every other sport I played. And an only child. I tend to look for solutions fast and implement. Is there any doubt I'd own my own company?
In addition to that, I like providing opportunities for people and growing something of significance. That's pretty cool. And as someone who now has a fair bit of grey in his beard, life moves from achievement to significance.
This business has provided me the opportunity to meet some very cool people, from all walks of life. From the small rental apartment to the massive, multi-million dollar home.
Why should our clients choose you?
Well, listen. We're not going to be for everyone. I'd like to think we have the talent for everyone, but sometimes, we might not be a good fit. Could be price. Could be my bald head. Who knows.
But what we try to do, where appropriate, is provide the talent to transform our clients' spaces into THEIR vision. Not just ours.
We bring the expertise. With that, comes some knowledge and experience that our client might not have. We want to help steer you in the right direction based on your situation. Is this your forever home? Are you going to sell in a few years? Do you just need some walls painted?
Maybe we need to walk you off the HGTV cliff. Red wine and too much Chip and Joanna Gaines can cause you to make some baaaad decisions. Or that couple from Tennesee who makes you think you can reno your entire home for $3000 and all it takes is 22 minutes and three commercials. (Sorry...it's not going to be that fast.)
We could talk about our guarantees. Or that we smell nice and we won't scare the kids. But at the end of the day, we want to transform your space. Do it at a fair price. And do it so well that you'll want to refer us to your friends and family. How's that sound?
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
While we can't paint your house through the window, we can at least work with photos and measurements to be able to provide an estimate. We understand that with Covid some of our clients are concerned (and rightfully so!) about keeping traffic in their house to a minimum. If that's you, we can set up a Zoom call on how best to proceed. We want to make sure you're comfortable and will do our best to do just that.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As mentioned in that last section, we want to make sure that you are comfortable with us. So, on our initial visit (which will most likely be with Jonathan) he'll arrive with a mask on and he's currently double-vaaxed. He hasn't had a booster yet but when that time comes he will have that taken care of. When we are in a house we do our best to keep contact to a minimum not just for that current client, but for the other clients whose houses we go into. The bottom line is we're going to work to your comfort level and beyond. Not just for you, but for all of our clients.
