Dog Training

She was receptive to my concerns and recommended behaviour modification tools. The 1 on 1 experience reduced my stress and allowed the trainer to see my dog’s behaviour in his own surroundings

We were blessed to have come across Rayna on the next door app to connect with someone to walk our dog Calamity (Staffordshire / pit bull cross) and the age of 4 she is a loving family member with a ton of teenager energy. Rayna was in the process of finishing up her training certification and we and Calamity got the added bonus of having her training completed through walks and sociableness when out and about. Rayna has been able to help get the last bit of prey drive and behaviours that trickle out with this corrected. IE Calamity’s focus on the walk not the world - her gentleness and listening skills honed. Calamity is so excited when Rayna come she’s by the door with eagerness at the sound of her car. We highly recommend Rayna she is a highly skilled and wonderful person. More...

Q&As

Working with owners and their dog(s) to make their house a happier place. I do this by giving the owner tools to work with giving the dog(s) boundaries and skills to do by using the LIMA (least invasive, minimally aversive) training techniques by reinforcing good behaviours and ignoring the bad behaviours.

The most obvious reason is that I love dogs. But the more important reason was that I had a German Shepherd mix named Brock, that I rescue at 3 mths old and he was reactive to everything. I wanted to learn how to better his life by making him the best dog ever. I learned through trial and error and if I’d known what I know now, then I would’ve had the best dog ever. Now all I want to do is help other people have their best dog ever.

I’m a certified dog trainer who loves dogs, but I also know how to communicate with people. I have a passion for helping owners communicate and understand their dogs and what their dogs needs are.

Yes, I have clients that are long distance. I will connect by either FaceTime or through Facebook Messenger.

Services

Any annoying habits your dog(s) might have, such as house-training, jumping, excessive barking, digging, etc.

Training your puppy to become properly socialized and to get better prepared on being a well-behaved mature dog.
A great follow-up course would be the Basic Obedience Training.

Crate-training is very important to help the dog(s) learn how to settle and turn off. This is very healthy for all stages of a dog. It also creates boundaries in the home and is a great tool for dogs that have behaviour issues.

This is a good training package that can be taught in a class setting (up to 6 owners/dogs) or in private sessions. The dog(s) will learn how to do a Focus, Sit, Down, Stand, Loose-leash Walk, Heel, Let's Go, Wait all on cue. This is also a great way to help your dog feel more comfortable around distractions.

Pet Massage Therapy, specializing in dog massage therapy for all ages and stages of your dog’s life. There are many reasons dogs benefit from a therapeutic massage including:

STRESSED & ANXIOUS: need help with your stressed and/or anxious dog and need help with getting them to relax and settle - I use hands-on massage techniques and breathing skills, as needed, to help settle anxious, stressed dogs of any age.

GERIATRIC OR SORE BONES: this therapy is for any age of dogs including those dogs who need soothing muscles and bones from doing sports and agility, competitive sports, as well as geriatric -
This is by using heat and cold compresses, hydrotherapy and specific hand massage for specific areas of the dog's body. These techniques can help any type of sore muscles from excessive exercise or dogs that don't know how to settle, competition sports, achy joints and muscles, and aged bones.

POST SURGERY: helps them heal faster and experience less pain. I will work with the dog owners and their Vet to do post-surgery massage to help with recovery for your pet.

PAMPERING: And for dog owners who want everything special for their loveable fur baby, I love pampering that special pup by giving them extra attention and pampering and give the owner peace of mind that their best fur friend is given undivided attention and the best pet rubs ever!!
