New Year’s Eve 2020. Good jazz music but over crowded. There seemed to be a lot of extra tables added, we had little space to move where we where seated. The waiter was very attentive and careful with the food allergies. The dinner menu looked very intriguing but average overall. The lamb was elasticity and the soup way too sweet. The risotto dish was much better than the lamb. It took way too long between dishes to get the food. We where seated at 8h45 and had to rush waiter for our main dish at 10h40 . Nous sommes vraiment satisfait. Les calmars frits, la poutine à l'agneau braisé, le tartare au boeuf, le steak frites, les moules frites et le Tataki de cerf de Virginie ont vraiment étés aimés. Le Magret de canard était un peu trop cuit à notre goût, mais comme les goûts sont dans la nature...Ils ont beaucoup de choix de vin et notre serveur avait un mot à dire sur chacun!Le turn off a été la visite aux toilettes. Was in town for NYE 2020. Had dinner at this restaurant. I picked this place because of the food and live music. I requested to be seated in the area with music and we were given a great table with views of the musicians. The service was beyond great. The staff was friendly and it felt like the staff were helping each other wait the tables. It felt very attentive and not at all overbearing. Very subtle thing that we appreciated. The food was not overly amazing but very good. We had the lamb chops which were a bit bland but with a little salt and pepper they came alive and were delicious. Thoroughly delightful time. Ambiance is the raison d’être there. Would definitely return. Food was pretty good, not the greatest . Calamari was a little heavy on breading and my organic salmon was dry but was such a great overall evening and atmosphere, I didn’t want to say anything at the time. We went for the Christmas dinner. The atmosphere was intimate, romantic, complete with some good, live jazz music. The service was very good, friendly and accommodating. We had the salmon and the lamb roulade. The desert was really good. Everything was cooked perfectly, but probably because we've lived with New York City spices for so long, the taste felt a bit tame. Our family went to Brunch here on Christmas Day. The staff were very kind and attentive and the food was terrific! We had the is osso bucco with wild boar and sage risotto which was perfect done. We have a vegan family member and they had a tofu Mediterranean pasta which was a lovely surprise! They had a great guitar playing live and a roaring fireplace. Recommended by a friend to one of us and then independently picked by another member of our group. From the very beginning this place impressed. From allowing us to sit down 30 minutes early to thoughtfully re-positioning my chair to make it easier to enjoy the live music, they made a great first impression.The food and wine arrived quickly. We had a number of items that exceeded expectations. The lamb burger was excellent. The pulled meat was tender, juicy and hit the spot perfectly. The side salad to accompany it was even better though (and I'm not much of a salad person - the dressing was distributed so evenly and the greens were so fresh). The vegetables, while simply presented, were perfectly cooked and had so much flavour.The beet salad was amazing. The combination of toasted quinoa and the creamy goat cheese complements the sweetness and softness of the beets so well. The french onion soup was, as expected, a highlight. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The live jazz was a wonderful and added just the right touch to an already perfect evening. Excellent food, cozy feel, awesome atmosphere in the heart of Old Montréal. We had live music, excellent service from our waiter. I was impressed how all the staff helped our waiter, just a well oiled machine! Random servers filled up our water as they walked by, others would just pick up an empty cup or plate.
