Anita is wonderful with children, and makes them feel so at ease! You don't have to worry about whether you will get that perfect shot, because she makes sure that she has it before letting you go home. Anita photographed our first baby in May 2020, during one of the peak Covid outbreaks and made us feel so comfortable and safe. She spoke with us in advance to ensure we understood her safety protocols, and asked lots of questions to help her understand what types of poses or colours we were interested in. Her inventory of props, wraps, knitted toques and headbands is endless! There is so much that goes into getting those perfectly posed newborn images, and she is an expert at getting babies calm, and then into a safe position. Our nursery was themed with hot air balloons and she went above & beyond to setup a scene and then edited our son into a hot air balloon image. We hired her once again when we welcomed our second son in July 2021, and she was amazing with both my boys. I had warned her that my toddler wasn’t interested in playing with my newborn, yet she was able to get them to lay together for some great photos. Even with a mask on, she was able to get my toddler to smile and giggle! She is so great with both newborns and young children. Anita is amazing! As a mom of two young kids, I was torn between knowing I would appreciate family photos after they were done and the dread of getting everyone dressed up and behaving for them - but Anita made it so easy! She put everyone at ease and the kids loved her, laughing and playing around and what? She knows who Rocky and Rubble are? She’s cool! On top of a quick painless session, Anita is a great communicator and flexible with kids schedule changes.
