This is a surprise. Â A little hole in the wall that offers almost everything scratch made! Â I stopped in for dinner just before they were set to shut down, so I did catch them off guard. The menu is a bit different: Â choose your base item, and then load it up any way you want. Â I love this idea, because I like to try combinations of ingredients that aren't on the menu in a fixed plate type of place.I ordered the Enchilada for $11 and added Beef Barbacoa and Chipotle Chicken for $4 each. Â Unfortunately, they were out of Guacamole, and Tamales (I don't see those in very many places) but what I had tasted very "non-institutional". Â I would agree that this is homemade food, not Sears Industrial Food Mix.I am going to be back. Â The prices are good, the quality rivals the best of them, and I still want a Tamale! More...

Ate tonight at Los Locos Mexican Restaurant. So impressed! Our waitress Christina was amazing. She guided us through the menu and made suggestions and recommendations. They have been open only a few months and are hidden away in the plaza on Yonge and Mulock I am so glad they moved from Beaverton because it was delish! Stopped by today to get a taco salad for takeout. This was my first visit. Salad was delicious and so fresh! Salads can be quite unhealthy, with fatty dressings and empty calories that would ruin a healthy meal. But not here!The portion was huge. I added chicken for an extra $4 which was plentiful. Some other places would be stingy with their chicken but not this place! I am a big fan of pico de Gallo and that coupled with lime created the perfect flavours to meld together. We dropped in for a late lunch as soon as we saw the Los Locos restaurant on Simcoe St. (Beaverton, ON) as we had a feeling it would truly be authentic . .. We were transported back to Mexico with the delicious drinks and food ... Pina Colada, Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla, Chipotle Chicken Soft Taco ... these dishes were served with fresh made Pico De Gallo, Guacamole, Red Rice and Refried Beans ... Even the flour tortillas were made in house ... You can absolutely taste the difference ... Diego knows exactly what he's doing ... a true Chef at heart ...
