What do you love most about your job?
I am truly grateful for the many that have shared their personal journey's with me and allowed me to witness their personal growth and resilience. As a clinician it is so fulfilling to witness individuals have joy again or for families to find harmony. I love that I can help people find their inner fire to create positive change in their lives.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When I was a teen, I was what clinicians, like my self, would consider "an at-risk youth". I recall trying to connect with adults for support, only to find counsellors that didn't get it or were shocked by what I had to say. My family was impacted by severe mental health and alcoholism. We often struggled to find supports, or tripped through medicalized systems that underserved the front line. Having worked my way up in the helping field for nearly 20yrs, I found many stories similar to my own. "People just don't get it", or "I feel judged". This is why I do what I do! I get it! You won't shock me and I will never judge you. I will help you find your path, help you feel more Calm and Connected and educate you on the tools that you or your family needs to find JOY and Harmony again!
Why should our clients choose you?
I Get it! I will not be shocked by our story. I am a pretty straight shooter. I like to add humour, comfort and encouragement using a strengths based approach. I have lots of lived experience. Lastly, I have excellent training and therapeutic skills.
