Très bien pour des rencontres de famille avec jeunes enfants. Repartis très enchantés et les petits de dire: C'était bien amusant de dormir ensemble chacun dans son lit dans cette grande chambre et de jouer à la cachette à l'intérieur et extérieur. Belle fin de semaine ensoleillée!

Farr Island was the perfect location for our intimate wedding in August! The ceremony arch, unique natural features, tent&deck (with tables and chairs, outdoor furniture), outdoor kitchen and pontoon boat ride made the location a perfect balance between nature and convenience. We were so grateful for Nicole and Jocelyn's invaluable help and advice in the wedding planning stage (with planning meetings and trips to the island) as well as the wedding day! They truly went above and beyond what we could have imagined. Our wedding day would not have been as special and unique as it was if not for this unique location and without everything they did. We were guests of Les Suites des Presidents for a family reunion in August 2018. What a amazing place....we were in awe when we visited the different houses. ..each has its unique style. Thanks to Nicole and Jocelyn for the hospitality...fridges sstocked up with everything we needed for breakfast and the daily "patisserie" du jour were amazing. We did the treasure hunt with Nicole and everyone had a blast.....what an amazing selection of costumes....The hot tubs were great for the young and old....An amazing weekend...time waS TOO SHORT TO DO EVERYTHING WE WANTED SO WE ARE DEFINATELY COMING BACK.... We stayed at the Prospector House this past week, it offered a very large space for our growing family. The kids were never bored and the atmosphere was very warm and cozy. The history within the house was magnificient as was the design. We spent Wednesday on Farr Island which was the highlight of the trip, the day started overcast but once we got out there the sun peeked through and provided us with a lovely day to enjoy the beach on the island and the kids had a magnificient time finding the lost treasure of Farr island. Jocelyn was a very warm host who paid particular interest to our children and was very kind and caring. He might have made my son's entire week when he appointed him Captain Danny and let him steer the pontoon boat back into the dock. He was smiling ear to ear and bragging about it for the rest of the trip. Merci to our hosts for such a memorable week. We can't say enough about the amount of work you and your team do to ensure that the experience you provide your guest's far exceeds our expectations. Until next time! More...

Where do I begin? Our daughter chose Farr Island for her wedding,surrounded by her close family and friends. What a delightful and unique setting for a small wedding! From the boat ride to the archway, the beautiful, well laid out outdoor kitchen, large event tent ready on the deck that overlooked the water.... We stayed at The Little Crooked House 3 nights, 4 days. The accommodation was perfectly quaint and all amenities plus more were available. Loved sitting on the porch in a very quiet residential are while, at the same time having the convenience of walking to the Lake or downtown area. Having delicious fresh pastries delivered to your door each morning was an added treat. Fridge was stocked with juice, milk, cream, eggs, bread and fruit. Shelves had condiments/jam/peanut butter....,coffee and many types of loose leaf tea. Bed was very comfortable. Due to unpredictable and at times poor weather we were unable to explore the area as there is much history to see along the many trails, however we did visit the Cobalt Mine Museum and did a tour in one of the Silver Mines which was very interesting. Nicole & Jocelyn are very attentive and wonderful hosts. We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Cafe Meteor Bistro....and yes the house is crooked �� Thank you Nicole & Jocelyn More...

I had the pleasure of spending the weekend at Presidents' Suites with my family. These accommodations were fantastic. We enjoyed early morning coffee on the scenic front porch while we enjoyed the fresh pastries dropped off each morning. Wonderful BBQs on the lovely back deck with plenty of room for all 10 of us at the dining table. Relaxed in the hot tub and in front of the fireplace in the living room in the evening. Lunch at the Meteor Bistro was delicious. My only regret was that we couldn't have stayed longer. More...

We (6) of us just spent a snowmobile weekend at the guest house. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Every care to detail was exceptional from the freshly baked goods dropped off every morning to the stocked fridge, the very inviting hot tub & the heated mattress pads. Very clean & well maintained home.

Loved staying at The Little Crooked House this past week. It was a great location, a well stocked kitchen, and the perfect spot for one! Through Bridging the Gap Wellness .ca we hosted and organized a Girls' Getaway Weekend for 4 ladies for a birthday celebration weekend. Jennifer Jones shared what she wanted for services. I was able to bring in all the services and wrap them around the ladies: from yoga, massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and even hair stylist as well as providing a birthday cake, big enough for 4. We prepared meals on site which allowed them to completely relax and enjoy the outdoor hot tub. What a great way for moms to get away and spend time with their friends and family. Notre deuxième fois aux Suites des Présidents! Encore plus enchanté que la première fois! Nicole et Jocelyn sont des gens de coeur, de passion, et ils savent très bien rendre notre séjour parfait! Les maisons sont très bien entretenues, elles ont cachet historique, elles sont chaleureuse, tout est là pour passer du bon temps! We booked a 4 day/3 night stay at Prospectors House this Thanksgiving weekend....we are a fairly big family and planned on cooking dinner for a large amount of people. .. I was absolutely thrilled with the kitchen....and the other perks like a hot tub...heated matress covers...heated bathrooms floors...kayaks...toy loft...Bbq...and a stocked fridge saved us because we got in late and didn't have time to grab groceries...an absolutely perfect vacation home....kids and adults alike didn't want to leave!! I suspect that Nicole and Jocelyn even planned for us to have perfect weather....LOL Definately booking another stay!! More...

5 friends & I stayed in the Ferland & Murphy suites this past week. It was a wonderful experience in every way. We enjoyed fresh pastries every morning, a boat trip to their private island, purse shopping at the house, a mine tour, a day trip to Quebec & a paint night all organized by our wonderful host Nicole. We (6) stayed at The Guest House Aug 6 through 9, 2017. It was absolutely perfect. The fridge was stocked with breakfast items, juce and coffee accessories and the cupboards with coffee, oatmeal and more. The house is older but upgraded and well appointed. We made good use of the hot tub, large deck and BBQ. The location was perfect within walking distance to amenities and family. The fresh baked muffins and croissants delivered every morning were delectable and always personally delivered with a smile and a story from Nicole. The canoes, kayaks and bikes were a great added feature. We also had opportunity to get out to the private Farr Island and it is a must for any guest! The kids (ok, us adults too) had a great time on the Scavenger Hunt, swimming at the beach and off the dock. The main area is perfect for groups large or small and the outdoor kitchen amenities are way more than one would expect on an island! The Glamping tent looked so inviting and so peaceful right at the waters edge. Everything was really well done from the reservation process to the final billing. We will be back! More...

My fiance and I stayed at the President Suites (Guertin Suite) in the winter of 2016 for a romantic birthday get away. We loved it so much that this past July 15, 2017 we exchanged our wedding vows on the lawn of the President Suites! ! Each family member and friend had the choice to book a suite or a whole house, they all did!! I personally was there for 12 days and I cannot tell you how amazing this experience was for all of us. We had the chance to visit and relax in each and every house and suite, including Farr Island and I would do it over again every year if I could. Nicole went the extra mile and ensured that every detail was in place for my stay. I had a chance to chat with Nicole and mentioned a recent home purchase, she had a small thoughtful gift in my breakfast basket the next morning in line with that conversation. On my arrival I had gotten up to the room and realized I neglected to get some powerbars or snacks for the evening, I was disappointed until I turned the corner into the kitchen and saw it was fully stocked. I stepped into the bathroom and my toes wiggled with delight at the heated floors. Every time I wondered or had a question, I found a little note in the suite answering that question. Although an older home, the many details made it feel modernly luxurious - hot tub, heated mattress cover, free wifi, gas fireplace and so on. Had I had more time I might have explored some of the winter fun equipment available. With the snow blowing hard, I gazed longingly at the BBQ and Fire pit, read enviously of the summer equipment and activities available and strengthened my resolve to visit again during the warmer months and bring my family. Amazing experience. I had some guests from out of town stay at the Baron House who had never been to Haileybury. They were so amazed and impressed with the accommodations. We were served a wonderful brunch the next day. Spent the rest of our time in the beautiful living room by the fire to finish our meetings. Yet another amazing experience with Presidents' Suites! We gathered in the Prospectors House to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. We all had our own rooms, bathrooms, plenty of common space, and always a place to get away and take a break. This house is beautifully decorated, very clean and includes everything you need for a weekend celebration. Reasonably priced with several amenities included. Endroit tout à fait idéal pour une rencontre de famille. Se rencontrer à mi-chemin (Hearst / Ottawa) nous a permis de passer que du bon temps ensemble. Les maisons thématiques sont chaleureuses et spacieuses. Les lits étaient confortables et au réveil des croissants on un bon pain chaud nous attendaient pour le déjeuner.
