If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Kaylyn then you are seriously missing out on just seeing her smile even once. She is seriously an ANGEL and was so kind right from when I first messaged her! She totally made my husband and I feel SO comfortable in front of the camera and the photos from the engagement shoot and wedding day are breathtaking. The moments she managed to capture - be it my dog licking my face or a sneaky shot of our mom's holding hands during speeches - she captured them ALL. She is also SO much more than a photographer. On the wedding day she was our photographer, she wore my veil as a scarf when I didn’t want to wear it anymore after the ceremony, she constantly checked in on me and brought me drinks and food, and she blended in SO well with all my family and friends I’m sure my family thought she was just a friend there. They all STILL rave about her – not just the photos she produced, but just how genuinely kind and sweet she was towards everyone. She was everything I was looking for in a photographer and more – things I didn’t even realize I wanted in a photographer! Also she loves dogs... tacos... brought us cookies during our engagement shoot... let our muddy pup sit in her lap in the car after the engagement shoot... like do I even need to say more about her? I knew I was hiring Kaylyn as soon as I had the chance to talk to her. She not only had amazing photos but was clearly such a warm and awesome person right off the bat! Once we got to meet her and do engagement shoots I knew we had made a great choice. The photos we have are all so beautiful, she really knows how to capture the right moments. I'm so glad we had KVD there on our wedding day, not only because of the final product but because of how easy and natural she makes getting your picture taken (all day) feel. Considering how much time you end up spending with your photographer, to me shes the one and only! Kaylyn has been our family photographer for just over 4 years! She has taken both of our baby’s pictures which are still hanging front & centre on our living room wall they turned out so well � she has been great in response times to requests for photo shoots and for organizing a time that is convenient for both parties. She is GREAT with the kids, our son doesn’t smile very easily but she was able to get the sweetest picture of him. Kaylyn was such a dream to work with!! From the first email to our bouquet & garter toss she was wonderful. She bared -20 weather for our GORGEOUS engagement shoot at a frozen waterfall just outside of Prince George, then traipsed through long grass, mud & a dog park to get every beautiful shot I wanted on our wedding day. I wound up being an hour late for our first look photos, and she didn't let that effect our schedule or the quality of photos in the end. There wasn't a single photo missing from the day, and she let my husband and I have our time together, and didn't rush us (even though we were behind schedule). She captured so many moments that I had no idea she was even around for, and was always right by my side when I needed her for anything. The family photos went so smoothly, even though it was raining, hailing & every other type of weather you can think of lol, she left a lasting impression...enough of one that my little brother hired her this year for his wedding! I loved every minute of our experience with Kaylyn as our photographer! From our first interaction with Kaylyn via email I could tell we made the right selection! I immediately got the impression that Kaylyn was genuinely excited to work with us and truly cared about ensuring our experience was a positive one. We were so lucky to have Kaylyn not only photograph our wedding day but also capture our engagement photos as well. Kaylyn made both our engagement photos and wedding photos reflect our personalities beautifully and was willing to travel to wherever we liked inside (or outside) city limits and made sure we got all the poses and shots we wanted while adding her artistic flare flawlessly. WOW! I am actually speechless.... Kaylyn's work speaks for itself! Kaylyn, THANK YOU for your superb work, Owen and I are truly amazed by our wedding photos. The photos are absolutely beautiful, and you managed to capture such special candid moments between our family and friends. Numerous people have told me our photos are some of the BEST they've ever seen, and I couldn't agree more! Although Kaylyn is a busy photographer, she was extremely organized and took multiple trips (on her own time) to scope locations and find a good spot for our first look. As a result, our wedding day couldn't have run any smoother and that is all thanks to Kaylyn.
