Q&As

InTouch Legal Services is comprised of a licensed paralegal and consulting lawyer who takes on matters outside the paralegal's scope of practice. We love our job because we get to meet amazing people who simply need a helping hand with their case. We enjoy putting smiles on clients' faces while still giving them a realistic understanding of the potential outcome of their case. Our clientele is very multicultural because of the high immigrant population in the Greater Toronto Area. Everyday is a new learning experience as we deal with clients from all walks of life.

We were inspired to start a business because we realized that providing access to justice for ALL Canadians is important. Not everyone can afford to hire a $600/hr lawyer so we have made our rates reasonable provided the circumstances are not complex. We also love working in the field of law. Both Alaoma and I (LaSania) realized from a young age that law was just one of our loves. I (LaSania) had always wanted to be a legal practitioner and own my own buiness so becoming a Licensed Paralegal business owner made sense for me.

Clients should choose InTouch Legal Services because we are committed to ensuring that clients are provided with exceptional service. Our goal is to provide our clients with the resources, knowledge, legal advice, and support at an affordable cost for their legal needs. We consistently strive to serve the public in their best interest by committing to achieve the best possible results, being accessible, efficient, responsive, and involved. ILS continues to serve the community by providing affordable access to justice.

Yes, our services are mostly held virtually on Zoom. Although we do have an office, we reserve office meetings essential in-person attendance. It is safer and clients are able to meet with us even outside of work hours at mutually convenient times. Since the start of the pandemic, being accessible virtually has permitted clients to have greater access to legal services. I also think about clients who have disabilities. They no longer have to leave their homes.

All staff are working remotely at this time. However, the office is cleaned regularly, all staff and visitors must adhere to a social distance of 2 meters as well as wearing masks inside the office.
