Geraldine Denty did my assessment after I failed a preaccess test for 24 ng/ml THC. After the assessment the letter forward was that I was Severe and needed rehab. I go months without alcohol or vaping THC(I quit instantly after I failed this basically zero tolerance test). For my first offense after doing these preaccess test for 18 years without ever truly understanding that nanograms are testing in the billonths(there is no test for trillionths), these tests are not looking for sobriety they are looking for any residual remains. Geraldine Denty made it quite clear we are not talking about nanograms, a failed test is a fail test. Because of this harsh judgment, I can no longer take any job in the union, I can no longer support myself, my wife, or my 6 month old child until this rehab is complete and in the mean time I have no support from my union, government or anyone else. My situation couldn't be more dire after just moving back to Alberta from Saskatchewan where they don't test by the Canadian model. I used all my savings to get a place and buy new furniture ect. I'm taking money out of my FHSA(first home saving account) just to put food on the table while I look for a job that doesn't even pay half of my normal wage. I never experienced anything like this before. More...

I spent 16 weeks in the AMS and PTSR programs, and am now 7 months clean and sober. It works if you work it. Highly recommend!

Home wood saved my life, just lost a dear friend that took her life. Sad. You really need to want it and put the work in. No one said life is easy.

Just looking for feedback from people who have gone to Homewood (particularly the CPC program). Have seen a number of negative reviews. Are there people that have had positive experiences? What did you like/dislike? Thanks. More...

Feeling so grateful for all I was challenged to face, the support, medical attention, skills I was taught, precious relationships built and how that place saved my life. It was an intense 63 days. But SO worth it! Trust the process. More...

I did the addiction/trauma program and we figured out that I needed to go to the PTSR program. I spent a total of 20 weeks and I am going back again. I wasn’t 100% on working my recovery and opening up. I also ready to give it my all. More...

EDP program was fantastic and they gave me the tools and skills needed to take responsibility for my own recovery. Staff were caring and compassionate and helped me believe in my own ability to recover. I'm forever grateful to them for assisting me in undoing 35 years worth of damage to my mind and body. Many thanks to the Homewood EDP team. Much Love to you all More...

i enjoyed my stay there, i learned that it's up to me to use the opportunity, the tools they offer and taught me along with meetings, sponsor, my higher power. .. they can't save me, but they can certainly take me out of my fatal comfort zone to learn more about myself, God, and other people and how to live happily and healthy. it will always be a work in progress, i know people who loved it and people who hated it. a lot of it is attitude and determination and being open-minded, and of course some will not fit some people's recovery and i hope they continue to search and find what they are looking for to better achieve what they want in recovery. Hi everyone, I completed the PTSR program between April and end June. I have to say this absolutely gave me my choice and opportunity to live my life for me and for my family. I have so many nice and great things to say about the staff and he program. Any veteran, first responder and Everyone and anyone needing support for ptsd. There is help and there is happiness and joy and peace while living with ptsd. I am proof there is post traumatic growth. BELIEVE in yourself and Trust the Process !!!. Thank you all for everything much much gratitude. Rodney Pollard. Namaste!. More...

If you're willing to look inside yourself, do the work and acknowledge that most of the time it isn't what's going outside of you that is causing the distress you will realize this place will give you your life back. A lot of people, including myself, enter into a program not realizing they have severe trauma and end up thinking all staff are out to get them and are trying to harm them. I hated every single staff member, thought they were all out to get me and harm me and what was happening was I was subconsciously re-creating my past trauma experiences at Homewood amongst the staff members. If you're really willing to listen, undo your past, be brave, feel the pain, understand yourself, search your soul and put a little trust into the hands of the professionals you will realize that this place is absolutely incredible. Homewood will give you what you put in. They aren't there to fix you. You have to be a willing participant to fix yourself. They are there to guide you along the way. Thank you so much to the entire Eating Disorder Program staff for everything! Also, horticulture and crafts is absolutely wonderful. More...

I thank God everyday for Homewood. The Doctors, nurses, counsellors and all the staff are excellent. There are wonderful support programs and the staff are all very dedicated specialists in their fields. In June it will be a year since my stay at Homewood. I made many good friends while there and I am still in contact with many of them. Support is one of the major things we need when we are suffering from Mental Illness or addictions. I cannot say enough good things about Homewood and I would not hesitate in going back if need be. Thank you Homewood for everything you have done for me. More...

Best Core and Post Traumatic Stress Program around. They are great at identifying addicts that need more than the 28 day spin dry and give them long term options.
