What do you love most about your job?
Watching students grow and make progress! I am passionate about reading and helping students to learn this basic skill that unlocks so many doors. Some of my English students have worked with me for years - from knowing just a few words to sharing complex stories, and seeing them grow up is a true delight.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am a busy mother of 4 and I taught my own kids to read in their early years. as they grow, I realized that so many children and adults struggle with literacy because of lack of attention or property instruction at school. Helping more people to become literate is a true joy.

Yes, I have 4+ years of online teaching experience and am experienced with using classroom aides and technology to make lessons interactive and fun online or in person.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Most of my business is online. For those who are in the Fredericton, NB area, myself and my family are all fully vaccinated. The best instruction is without masks because seeing lips move can be imperative for many learners. However, if you feel masks are necessary we can discuss options. I am also flexible and can switch to online if either my student or I are feeling ill.
