Nice hotel in the heart of old Quebec. Close within walking distance of old town.  The hotel is divided into A. B. C. D. sections. Can be a little confusing to find the elevator to your particular section where your room is located. They have an indoor pool and nice exercise room. Their library is lacking for books. I had a wonderful time here. The staff was very nice and helpful. I got great recommendations for places to eat and the local events happening. The view from my room was lovely and the area the hotel was located was very peaceful and calm. Being able to walk to the Old Quebec was a plus! The only downside was that the room was a bit small. Other than that, I had a great time and hopefully, I will have a chance to come back again. More...

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Walkable to the Old Town area, as well as being near many great restaurants and gastropubs AND the park for running/walking/enjoying the fantastic gardens. What a great location for walking about and discovering culture! Not that easy to get to because of detours and closed streets; we had to go behind the hotel via 805 av. Wilfred-Laurier. Our GPS was so confused so I walked and discovered that so once that kerfuffle was over we enjoyed ourselves.  What a grandiose place with friendly bilingual staff. Close to many bistros and restaurants. Quick walk to old Quebec, parks and even a short walk to Cartier for marché--for fresh fruit, veggies, cheese,  and wine. For quick grabs, there is a convenience store off Grand Allé and is accessible from inside the hotel too. Initially, it felt like the first day of college trying to find everything but the concierge is helpful. We somewhat enjoyed the outdoor spa but both hot tubs' jets were not working efficiently; although the water was clean and hot enough. The indoor salt water pool was so clean and the sauna was absolutely beautiful. Finally, you have to get the porters to bring the carts for your luggage so do-it-yourselfers will have to realize that.  Really liked the noon check out too--gave us time to do breakfast at Cosmos(amazing), swim, and do some shopping. Would definitely return as long as it doesn't get too pricey... More...

This is a lovely place to stay if you are visiting the old city and/or the new.  The location is very near the old city wall and a good breakfast place a couple of blocks inside called La Buche.  It is also near a very good breakfast spot in the opposite direction called Cosmos.  The hotel hands out 15% discount cards for several eateries nearby and some shopping outlets as well.  The reception staff, bell hop staff, and information desk staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful.  The quality of service is consistently high.  Rooms are clean and quiet.  My only difficulties lay with breakfast staff in the adjacent hotel; the breakfast time is busy and there was a problem with understaffing and less than optimal service.  But there are lots of other eating options all around the neighborhood.  Quebec City is a charming place where people are relaxed, unhurried, mostly bilingual, and clearly putting an emphasis on quality of life.  I look forward to my next visit and a second stay at Hotel Chateau Laurier Quebec. We stayed at the hotel with a bus group of 50 for 3 nights this past week, service was excellent, location is excellent with good restaurants all around, rooms were nice and clean. The rooms may be a but small as the hotel is older. It has a St. Hubert restaurant that serves a nice breakfast and serves good food. We will return. More...

Friendly staff clean rooms and amenities. They should have told us that there was construction cause 7 am start isn’t my ideal holiday.
