Fiasco Gelato

My favorite was their lavender london fog. It was not too dense. Not too thick or too over powering. Light and refreshing especially on a hot day. Definitely one of the better gelato that I ever had. I loved it. The fruit passion lemonade was not bad either. They are only located in Calgary. The reason why I got to try it was because they sponsored the Ride To Conquer Cancer event. Great gelato. The website indicates a tour is available. We traveled all the way from Las Vegas, NV and were excited about this tour only to find out a special event was going on and there will not be a tour. The manager said we should have called ahead to schedule. The website never mentions advance reservations required. We are so disappointed. Not a good system. More...

Human tested, dog approved. We can’t get enough of the amazing flavours. Perfect sized containers (which make great plant pots, dog food holders, snack bins and left over use) plus, we love that it’s locally made!!!

I received a package of this gelato in the mail in Ottawa a few years ago from an ex-boyfriend that clearly wanted to impress me! I have waited everyday for another package but it has never come! Today I found it in my local grocery store. I was over the mood! What an awesome experience!At last I went to the place!It's a Calgary base business so I think it's a duty for Albertans especially Calgarians to support this awesome business! When you enter the place you can see people are working in the factory. It has a warm cozy atmosphere, kinda like a family business!Everyone had smile on their face and I felt welcomed there. The customer service was awesome!I walked from work, on a cold day, with likeminded friends to have ice cream and what a good decision!The atmosphere was good, the quality of the ice cream was pretty good and overall I had a great experience and can't wait to take more friends to this place and share my joy! :)I don't think parking is an issue.That area in general is not the best area for walking, but we walked and it wasn't too bad.I definitely recommend this place and even though you can buy their products at some grocery stores, I think it would be a very good experience if you go to this place, where they actually make ice creams. Fiasco location is a bit strange but pretty neat inside, we can see all the machines they use to make their flavour and frozen treats. When I walked in, the employee asked if I was picking up the dry cleaning..... WT*... I hope they don't say that to all their customers....That aside, i tried the strawberry orange blossom (okay, not bad) and the cookie and cream (pretty good! and blue) I got a small cookie and cream and I asked why it was blue, she told me they partnered with a charity and their colour is blue hence the colour of the cookie and cream. What do I recommend about Fiasco Gelato - where do I start. I love the fact that you are always greeted by a friendly super helpful team member when you walk ion the door. They are always willing to let you try several different flavors of gelato before you try. When you make your decision you find out that you can put 2 flavors in your small gelato. Oh the decisions!!! Then you stare with amazement at the generosity of the serving size. (not that it is a problem eating the deliciousness that is in the dish) It frequently has very unique flavors such as blueberry Greek yogurt and Black current (which is called something else so I had to ask). If there is a few or you there, they serve a flight of different flavors. I also love the way that Fiasco always has a flavor or 2 that has a portion of the price going to a charitable cause. It was through their community support that i originally got introduced to them, but it is the friendliness of the location and the top notch quality that keeps me going back. More...

First of all, the ice cream Fiasco Gelato offers is unbelievably awesomely creamy and tasty! You got to try it! Then, they have someone like Nathan who is so kind and gracious in dealing with unexpected demand. We made a mistake by misreading an info about free tours in the factory in August. There’s no free tours until September. Nathan quickly fixed our disappointment with the most delicious scoops of nutella flavour ice cream. Thank you Nathan! You made our day! More...

This gelato is SPECTACULAR.Every flavour Ive tried is AMAZING especially the salted Carmel and even the dark chocolate, which is shocking because I HATE dark chocolate, I dont know how they do it ! And even better, did you know the interesting story of the owner who grew up homeless, he is doing SO well for himself and especially for those around us less fortunate. Did you know he donates $1 from the cost of each sale to feeding the homeless, that is a huge chunk of his profit margin, what an amazing guy. Plus they make a point of paying quite well, more than minimum wage, they pay a decent living wage for decent workers and WHY NOT. Congrats Fiasco, I adore your food and your way of life.
