Just finished the ginger and cilantro chicken skewers at the Duncan Farmers Market! I hate cilantro, and I could not believe how amazingly good these were!

Farm Gate provided the catering for an intimate group of 15 people for a 70th birthday party last Saturday. From beginning to end we were treated with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. They were also very helpful and accommodating when creating a menu for a mix of health and personal choice requirements . Michael and Daniel then worked around my small kitchen to create a delicious buffet with choices that satisfied everyone. The kitchen cleanup was great and I have had nothing but good feedback on the dinner and the evening. This expertly catered meal made it so much more enjoyable for all of us. We recently had Farm’s Gate Foods & Catering into our home to cater our staff Christmas party - and WOW! The food was nothing short of outstanding, chefs kind and courteous, and the service very professional (but also lovely and down to earth - an asset for food served in a private function at home)! We enjoyed a family style meal and every bite was filled with creative, bright, inspired flavours, and second helpings were had by all! The potato salad was definitely a favourite. These guys are really awesome! They catered our wedding this past weekend and just knocked it out of the park. We had Farm Gate Foods cater a small dinner party for friends. It was fantastic. From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, everything was top notch. We had a tappas style wedding out at Noisy Acres in Yellowpoint and Farms Gate catered and served our guests the most amazing assortment of tappas. I can't thank them enough for all their hard work and the food was beyond our expectations. Here is a list of what we ordered: Fried Corn Fritters, Ginger Soy Dip - Belgian Cheese Croquettes, Blue, Emmental and Goat Cheese - Summer Gazpacho, Basil Oil, Pine Nuts - Moroccan Chicken Kebab, Tamarind Glaze, Spiced Pumpkin Seeds - Chicken and Apple Terrine, Pomegranate and Walnut Salsa - Short Rib Cake, Parsnip Crisp, Jalapeno Hollandaise - Brisket and Gruyère Grilled Cheese, Caramelized Shallots - Grilled Prawn, Chermoula Marinade, Carrot Slaw, Ginger Dressing - Wild Salmon Tartare, Avocado-Lime Dressing, Fingerling Potatoes, Wonton Crisps - the final item was fresh figs baked with blue cheese! My friend and I were out shooting photos in the area and saw the trailer at a Winery, and we were so glad we stopped! The food was incredible. Period. This was gourmet food in an amazing setting.
