What do you love most about your job?
Using my education and experience, I inspire to make dog training simple to understand and easy to apply. I want to motivate and encourage an enjoyable and positive training experience for both you and your dog. What I love most is the joy my clients get from building a safe, trusting and loving relationship with their puppies and adult dogs.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I just love working with dogs and their humans! I have been a competitive agility trainer for over 12 years. I have spent many years learning about dog behaviour and learning theory and have been applying it in my agility classes. After a car accident, I made the personal decision to do what I was truly passionate about, working with animals. The journey has been interesting with many ups and downs, but I am committed to the industry and to Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive (LIMA) strategies to help build trusting relationships with the dogs that I train. LIMA does not justify the use of punishment in lieu of other effective interventions and strategies. As a dog trainer I am committed to increasing the use of positive reinforcement and eliminating the use of punishment when working with animal and human clients.

Yes, I can provide services online or remotely. At Evolvedog.com we can offer Zoom for remote learners. In these sessions, I am able to guide you and your dog in practice sessions and even though it is remote you will get a lot of hands on time. I sometimes use my dog to demonstrate as well.
Puppy Privates

These behaviours can be easily managed with a basic understanding of a few key training principles and consistent daily training. Training may take a little time each day, however with kindness, patience and persistence your puppy will “evolve” into the perfect companion.
