I was lucky to have Chris train my dog Reimann. Chris was not only professional but also patient. He came prepared with all the tools and took the time to teach me how to work along with the dog. We have had several private sessions with Chris and our dog is making excellent progress.

Chris is very knowledgeable about our dog’s issues and how to correct them. Our dog primarily struggles with leash pulling, aggression/lunging towards other dogs and people and has a general lack of confidence.

We end every session with great progress and “tools in our tool belt” to move forward and implement things into our daily routine with our dog.

He’s sent us affordable links to helpful products and has kindly and graciously helped us to see what we’ve done “wrong” as this is our first dog and we are learning a lot.

I recently adopted a rescue dog with anxiety issues ... after just 7 lessons with Chris he is a different dog (more confident, better at walking on a leash, less reactive to other dogs and noises, etc. ). My very stubborn Samoyed used to be horrible on a leash, non-stop pulling and barking at other dogs, joggers, and bicyclists. 10/10 would recommend doggenius. I did the 7 classes once a week. my dog went from 10% recall and leash pulling to 90% recall and heeling next to me. DogGenius was great working with my 1.5 year old GSD and really set the fundamentals during our sessions so my training in between sessions was a lot less frustrating than when i was training before starting with DogGenius. Chris is so helpful and easy to work with, I can't recommend him enough. When we rescued our dog, the agency warned us he was HIGH energy and would need lots of exercise, but no matter how much mental and physical stimulation we gave him, he was always bouncing off the walls. Chris immediately recognized it was actually insecurity and anxiety, not excess energy, preventing him from settling down. I love Chris! He truly fits his name and is a true Dog Genius. His ability to work with all different types of dogs is amazing. the best part about Chris is the work he does with us owners. He is patient. He is responsive (I surely texted daily and he never displayed any frustration). He takes the time to listen to the owner and the needs of the dog. My puppy Duke is high strung and he needed some direction. I didn't have time to provide him the consistency he needed for basic obedience. I found myself frustrated and Duke was confused. Having Duke Board and Train with Chris made a world of difference. Now I enjoy my dog and my job is to reinforce what Chris instilled in him. Chris is an amazing dog trainer! Super knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We had already done quite a lot of training with our dog over the course of a year, but wanted to take it to the next level. We opted for a board & train with Chris in hopes that he could make that breakthrough with our pushy and human/dog reactive dog. With consistent exposure to the outside world and structured socialization with the other board & train dogs, Chris was able to eliminate our dogs unfavorable habits. Chris was fabulous! Our pup, Mila already had a pretty decent foundation of commands but we needed help tackling leash training and needed some separation anxiety tips. After one session, we already saw an improvement in Mila’s behavior on the leash!
