I have had dogs all my life and would not have it any other way! I have been dog walking for over 8 years and thought it would be time to start my own business! I recently graduated from York University with an Honors Criminology Degree but did not feel right leaving dog walking behind.

Our 9 month old puppy absolutely loves Makailah and has crashed into the door many times trying to get to her. It’s hilarious!
As soon as she sees her in the window, she immediately runs right to the door (sometimes forgetting to put on the brakes). It is so heartwarming to see the love they share. She makes sure my pup is happy and has the best time. Layla always comes home so happy and tired!
Makailah has also been extremely accommodating to last minute schedule changes, which has been so helpful. Thank you for all you do! We appreciate you!!!!!

So thankful to have found devoted 2 paws! My two dogs are a lot to handle and I’ve never had to worry. I receive regular updates on how my dogs are doing whether it’s during their walks or while they are boarding! 10/10 recommend 🤩

Wow! Makailah is great. With other boarders, I have had to ask for updates and photos of my pup. However, Makailah keeps me updated without me having to ask. Whenever I go away, I know Coco is in the best hands. As not only a parent, but a pet parent, I know how hard it is to trust people with your babies. I am already someone who is very particular with who I leave my pup with, which deterred me from travelling for her first couple of years. I have tried puppy hotels and kennels, but felt awful leaving my pup Daisy there. It just seems so isolated and I do not feel like my pup was getting the love and attention she deserved. I was so skeptical to find a home boarder, but that changed immediately upon meeting Makailah. Her home is so welcoming, cozy and clean! We have been using her boarding services for going on 3 years now, and have had no complaints! Her house is so clean, she sends updates, always answers any questions we have and is great with our pup Chico! Everytime he gets close to her house, he cannot wait to get out of the car! I hired Makailah a few months ago to walk and board our Shepherd Luna. Awesome, just awesome. So glad we tried this service and VERY HAPPY Makailah watched our "baby". What do you love most about your job?
I do not think it gets better than working with the beings you love the most! Working with dogs is a privilege and I adore it to the max. I have always been an animal lover, but being able to work with them as well tops it! Being able to be active, go on hikes and see how much fun they have at the same time is so fulfilling.
Group Walks
On/off leash group hikes throughout beautiful trails in Toronto. They provide not only socialization, but stimulation, structure, and exercise as well. Dogs are able to get in touch with their natural instincts as they explore many new scents, sounds and sights. When dogs are bored, they look for ways to entertain themselves. Group walks are a perfect antidote for this!
You can choose one morning walk, one afternoon walk or both!
Private Walks
Perfect for dogs that do not do so well in groups and prefer one on one attention. These are great for dogs who are shy, do not do well with others or just prefer human interaction. I offer different time intervals, for those who need longer or shorter walks. 20 minutes. 30 minutes. 45 minutes. 60 minutes.
Boarding (in my home)/ Pet Sitting (in your home)
Have you been thinking about taking a trip but cannot stand the thought of leaving your beloved pet behind? Get peace of mind knowing they are in the best hands. Creating a home away from home experience is a top priority. A change in environment is already stressful enough, therefore making sure they are as comfortable as possible is essential. Your at home routines will be closely followed, to prevent disturbing their schedule. Your requests are heard and made happen! They get endless love, cuddles, and play time.
Puppy Visits
15-20 minutes. For pups that are too young to join the group walks but still need some extra love! This service includes feeding as needed, refreshing water, cuddle time, play time and an outdoor bathroom break!
Senior Visits
15-20 minutes. For the dogs that are too old for the high energy group hikes or longer walks! This service includes feeding as needed, water fresher, a quick walk or yard potty break, playtime and cuddles!
Cat Visits
15-20 minutes. For the felines that prefer their own homes and need some extra love! This service includes food/water refresher, litter change, cuddle and play time.
This service can be upgraded with basic house keeping tasks such as watering plants, bringing bins to the curb, bringing in the mail and turning lights on or off.
