Employment Law
For claims under $35,000 anywhere in Ontario.
$1500 to assess all evidence, research case law, send the demand letter (if no response, I draft the claim and you pay the Small Claims filing fee).
If you are faced with a motion by the defendant, motions will be $3000.00. Motions can include the employer trying to strike your claim, therefore you must be certain that your claim is strong with my initial service.
You should also get an assessment if you are filing a complaint to the Ontario Labour Board, because anything you forget to include will cause you to lose your case. They do not show you the employer's evidence, or tell you what false information the employer may be submitting.
If you had an Ontario Labour Board complaint, and lost, and want to appeal, the appeal including the hearing will be $3000.
