Our mood was totally spoiled due to the muggy weather. Decided to drive to Bridgewater to try out a new restaurant Curry Express. Well i reached there and my first impression wasn't that great. Ordered quite a lot, chicken samosa, veg samosa, pakora, chicken kadhai, Lamb curry, dal makhni, nan, roti, beer n cheese cake. Boy fastest service that I would have ever got at any restaurant. Taste of each item made my day n I thanked the muggy weather because of which I landed at this place. Right balance of masalas, spices, chilli... The food is outstanding but the service was terrible. We met last night a lady on the till who was less than helpful with the menu. We were tempted by the buffet and in a brusque manner we were told we had to reserve and that in itself is not a problem but when we said that we had not known, we were told we should have listened to the radio. Not really useful when you work from 8:00 to 6:00. We took a menu, made our choices and went to the till to order but were told to stand aside. We did stand aside as requested although we could not understand why as when we first approached the till we were the only ones there. We then recognised the person behind us, a friend who had just arrived. He was also surprised. As he came to the till, he turned to my daughter and tried to make a joke out of the situation by saying, "never mind Erica you will get your food one day". He made his order and Erica came forward with her purse ready to order and pay, when we were told again to stand aside. At this point, were we not returning to work, we would have left. It was unacceptable and unpleasant to be told to stand aside for the 2nd time. The lady then served a single woman customer who was a passing traveller and had seen the restaurant and decided to come in. We had no problem hearing the conversation as we had been at the till. She wanted to eat from the buffet. To our astonishment she was served and got her buffet dinner. We were finally allowed to make our order after her. This was far from acceptable and I have no idea what she was thinking and clearly our friend didn't either. I was going to have a word with you when you came out to check the dishes on the buffet table but decided that with some customers close to the table, I did not want to cause an embarrassment. However if that lady is on the till again the next time I come, I feel I would rather go next door and have the fish and chips. Their service is friendly and efficient. More...

I called in my order of Butter Chicken, Channa masala, rice and Naan and the service was very friendly and helpful over the phone and at the counter when I picked it up. The meal was delicious - the rice was perfectly cooked with cumin seed and the dishes spiced well. I requested medium and it had very little heat so I would try hot next time. My only complaint is the Naan wasn't soft enough - a bit tough. The prices are reasonable and portions generous. I am thrilled to have this option in Bridgewater. Thank you! More...

This is some of the best Indian food that I have ever eaten. My girlfriend and I were working at a goat farm up near bridgewater for the first part of last summer and on our days off we would always come here (and sometimes just after work- the food is really /so/ good! ) The korma was delicious and flavorful and creamy and the vindaloo is to die for. Dipping their samosas in the vindaloo's chili oil+ sauce is one of the best things in the world. Also the people that run it are great and very kind and pleasant. 11/10 great place. Had Tandoori Chicken last week (the special of the week) and bought one for hubby but had it for lunch the next day cause it was too good to share! !! YUMMY and so flavorful and so thoughtful that they stayed open when I ran in at closing time (8pm) just to serve me. Curry Express is like a shining super nova in the black hole that is culinary experience in Bridgewater!It seems to be busy all the time and I'm so happy to see that, because I want this place to survive. Just a warning, it is a bit more spicy than you may be used to. I like spice so I ordered my channa masala medium, and it was a bit too hot for my taste buds!
