cupCAKE made my wife’s 30th birthday cake and it was excellent. They designed the cake exactly how I wanted and the cake was also delicious. My only regret was not ordering another layer with the cheesecake filling. I’m picky about icing and the cake itself and they are both great. I’ve tried cake from all the bakeries in the Barrie area and I believe they are the best. Judith the owner was wonderful to chat with when we discussed details and designed the cake. Judith is such a sweet lady! (No pun intended!) She allowed us to taste different cupcakes to figure out which flavours we wanted for our wedding cake. I brought a picture I had for inspiration and she brought it to life in our cake, and even added our own special touches to make it more unique with our map/travel theme. If you think cake is the only thing cupCAKE is great at you are wrong!! My husband dislikes cake, so for his birthday I knew I needed something different. I wanted a giant cookie! The young lady who took my order was amazing going through all the options. Any of the cake fillings I could put in this cookie. Ohhh the possibilities!! We ended up with a two layer 10” chocolate chip cookie with turtle filling in the middle. Oh. My. God. This thing was ahhh-mazing!! Everyone loved it, especially my husband. This review is LOOOOOONG overdue but I don’t typically write reviews... We met Judith before she had a store front. I was driving around Barrie when this cute little car with adorable decals pulled up beside me on Mapleview, and said “cupcake”. I had my friend text me the number as the light turned green and I called her as soon as I got home! Judith’s bubbly personality, not to mention her DELICIOUS cupcakes, won us over! I remember telling her we were having a Halloween themed wedding and she piped up with “can I make gum paste ghosts, bats and pumpkins to put on top of the cupcakes? I’ve always wanted to but no one wants that” (something like that, it was back in 2011 so don’t remember the exact words) and I said “omg you can do that YES!” And they were awesome. Judith helped my husband and I with a 6" cake and 50 cupcakes. we wanted NYE theme with chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and caramel fill. BOY did she deliver. Guests were marvelled at her cupcakes and the cake was delicious. i would recommend Cupcake services time and time again!!! Judith even delivered and arranged everything on the table. 5 isn't enough stars to give Judith and her crew! I have tried pretty much everything in store and love it all. My daughter has done the cupcake day camps several times and always begs to do it again. I've purchased custom cakes, cupcakes, cheesecake and cookies for every occasion both business and personal. Never once been disappointed. The staff is always friendly both to myself and my very excited about to have a treat children. They truly go above to make sure their customers are happy. For example I forgot to place my order ontime and they still got it done on time for an anniversary party I had. When my OCD son broke his cookie they gave him a new one without even missing a beat. The cheesecake jars are to die for and way under priced. My personal fav is the sugar cookie sandwiches with royal icing added to them. The. Best! My wife and I hosted our wedding on the 16th of October, 2016. The cake/cupcakes were supplied by CupCAKE, and we couldn't have been any happier with the quality, taste, texture, pricing or service we received. We found CupCAKE to be very easy to deal with. They responded quickly, and were very receptive to our design choices and many, many questions. The finished products (an 8-inch cake decorated like a pumpkin, and 72 fall-themed cupcakes) were beautiful and priced excellently.
