We have a shepherd X who deals with anxiety. He was very reactive to other dogs and sometime people that were running or wearing hoodies. Cori was great. We have 2 very different dogs and she was able to tailor her training to each one. We took away a lot of tips and tricks and while our high energy anxious Aussie isn’t magically calm, which would be unrealistic for his breed, he and we now have tools and made amazing progress over a short period of time. My daughter and I fell in love with Oakley (a husky/akita cross puppy) and we one day made a split second decision to bring her home. I got my first dog (a beagle) last year and he is incredibly stubborn! I was struggling with him being unpredictably aggressive, and just understanding the correct way to train him. I tried puppy classes and several other trainers before finding Cori. It seemed like the information from training, puppy classes, and my vet were all contradicting and I had no clue what was “right”. Cori met with and worked with me and my puppy and I saw improvements right away! Everything she said made so much sense, and gave me the confidence to be able to handle my little guy better. His aggression is significantly better (might be gone completely but not 100% sure yet), he’s an amazing walker, sleeps in his crate (and loves it), is calmer, and happier overall (and so am I haha). What do you love most about your job?
Helping dogs and their owners build a better relationship through understanding, stronger skills and clear communication. Seeing a family that once struggled with aggression, reactivity and not being able to walk their dog, to now being able to go on that walk without incident is the r most rewarding part of my job.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always been an entrepreneur and when I moved back to Canada from Belize where I studied under international trainer Katia Marin, I knew I wanted to continue helping dogs, and provide owners with the right training tools and communication skills to be successful with training their dog.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a small business and only take a limited amount of clients per month so the quality of service, and personalization is paramount. I offer a unique skill set and I am the only provider of Heathers Heroes Sidekick leash which is the most effective tool to stop pulling, reduce reactivity and calm aggression.

Walk This Way
Struggling to walk your dog on leash? Are they pulling, lunging, reactive or even aggressive on walks? This course can help! We help uncover the reasons why your dog is reactive and how you can better handle your dogs behaviour. We focus on leash walking utilizing Heathers Heroes Sidekick, and other tools that will help guide your dog to better decisions. This course teaches you how to have a stronger relationship with your dog so you can both Walk this Waylike a champ! Fee includes Heathers Heroes Sidekick Leash, informative videos and handouts plus free monthly group handling class.
Day Training
Like the idea of a board and train but want your dog home at night? Well, this program is perfect for that. This course is 8 sessions held Monday- Friday for 4 weeks. We do a combination of in home training as well as out in the world training. Your dog will learn leash walking, obedience, impulse conrol, confidence buliding, crate trainig and so much more. This is great for dogs 5 months and up for all breed types and behavorial concerns. Upon completion you will recieve 1 one on one sessions.
Single Session
Need a refresher, or help understanding your dogs behaviours? This behaviour modification consultation will address the reasons why your dog is struggling and how you can help guide them to better decisions. We will provide a professional assessment, training hacks to improve your situation and proper direction for the next required steps in your training journey.
