Absolutely do not let your elderly parents or disabled relative be in care of this agency. They don't know how to do simple tasks as giving antibiotic through IV, or change a patient, in case they have an accident, nor they have anyone trained to provide outpatient physical therapy, like a simple blood flow massage to extremities. ..and they advertise as they provide CNA care. No, workers just come to play games, sit on the couch and eat food. They also don't do HAIR drug test as they should. Urine test cannot truly define if person been using drugs, since it leaves system very quickly. Need to pluck a hair to test, been and seen their CNA high on heroin. More...

I called ComForCare (Port St. Lucie area) to help me with my Grandma while she was in-home hospice. The aids were wonderful. They provided great care to my Grandma. They also helped me around the house with light housekeeping and allowing me to get some rest. The care for both of us was amazing! Very bad company their customer service is really poor Ashley who is the front desk receptionist and this other white woman who interview me today treats me real nasty they were mean to me and insulted me all because I am black and I am a foreigner they so unprofessional comforcare said that an employee can't be dropped off at a clients home without a car cause they would be in violation of HIPAA! This company is a godsend. Neither of my parents were thrilled about having caregivers coming into their home, but it was necessary due to the progression of my mom's dementia. After starting on their service, my parents ended up being very pleased and appreciative of their help! And I had peace of mind knowing my mom was being cared for when I couldn't be there. Three caregivers in particular, Kena, Julie & Jeanne, were phenomenal and formed a bond with my mom. Whenever there were issues (another company sending the wrong type of care supplies, etc...), Ellie and Kate were quick to update me and assist me in resolving them. My husband was shocked to arrive at his deceased father’s apartment (from across the country) to find that all of his dad’s valuables had been stolen and his checking account cleaned out of thousands of dollars. This was the Eastern Allegheny, PA ComForCare. He had been in contact with the caregiver during his drive to Pittsburgh. Upon arrival and discovery of all of the stolen money, checkbook, and other items, he called the caregiver but it went to voicemail. From that point on she was unreachable and did not return his calls. We discovered that over the course of the last several months of my father-in-law’s life, she had stolen approximately $3000 and in the last 10 months about $10,000. When my husband called the East Allegheny office of ComForCare, the office worker attacked HIM and called HIM a terrible son. It appears that ComForCare is more concerned with protecting themselves than ensuring that their clients do not have have their life savings and belongings stolen from them. This was not the first time that their caregivers had stolen from my father-in-law but this was the absolute worst and most blatant time. I complained about 2 caregivers who stole from me. It was o oh obvious it was them as nobody else in my home. So I get dumped by the company. I wasn't given regular caregivers often going a few days at a time without no phone calls to say if a caregiver coming out or not. 1of those caregivers gave my personal info out to her neighbors this she admitted too. I also was able to provide specific info about 2 other clients this caregiver took care of because she gave me all their info.this caregiver also called me in the evening saying she was weak and passing out what is she to do? I am not her caregiver. It isnt my job to give medical advice to my caregivers. There were several other caregivers in my home and we were good fit. I wasnt offered them. I had several caregivers out that came occasionally in between and after these 2 caregivers but they were not scheduled with me on a regular basis. Most of the time I just sat here waiting to see if a caregiver showed up or not when those 2 were let go by me. I could have filed police reports and called protective services but I didn't. I let the company know so they could make sure these 2 didnt steal it give out other clients personal info. I was dismissed and according to their dismissal letter " because you made several complaints of employee theft" last I knew 2 is not several. If the company chooses an employee like those 2 then I can only imaginge how the supervisors are. I have worked in the feild of caregiving as a cna and cma and I know you have good and bad caregivers. I never once got rude with staff when speaking to them. I continue to be in awe of the compassion, professionalism, accommodation and creativity of owner, Shawn Rimmerman, and his incredible staff in caring for my 89 year old mother. As an only child living in New Jersey, there is no way that I could have continued to maintain my mother in her St. Louis apartment as her mobility and memory deteriorated without the support and service of ComforCare. Shawn has worked with me to offer payment options as her needs have increased from 6 hours a week to 6 hours a day, 7 days a week. He has coached me on putting services in place beyond his own agency to ensure my mother’s safety and comfort. The staff is not only reliable, trust worthy and efficient, but frequently go above and beyond, even dropping by to visit my mother on their days off. HORRIBLE!! ComForCare located in solstice Senior Living is horrible! The employees who are face to face with clients are kind and caring. The management is a farce! Numerous times the manager has been caught lying about why the caregivers do not show, the caregivers are misled by the manager. The manager consistently says one thing and does something completely different, often leaving elderly people without care. I have called the franchise office and get no help. The manager on site at Solstice parades around the dining room like a pirranha. Today he was caught telling a resident that her friend who does her hair is “not needed” that his company is the “only care you need” and that his “girls” are smarter than anyone she deals with. This company is a joke & the office personnel are incompetent. The PCAs never show up. We hv never been notified when a PCA would be here or had quit & when i asked to speak with someone in administration i was told "we dont have those numbers".
