Founded in 2006, Chachi's have always been determined to support the community by working with the local partners to source the best Ingredients. I tried their sandwich during my visit to Premium Outlet Mall. It is situated in the food court of the mall.Order:Chicken Banh Mi- We tried this Sandwich from their Latest Taste menu. I was out and about when my wife (who had a bad cold) texted me to ask that I pick up lunch. Naturally I parked in a shopping centre and checked the Yelp app for some ideas of where to get take out food. I was near South Edmonton Common so Chachi's came up. From the description and the most recent reviews it sounded perfect.  There are a few tables inside but this is clearly a take out place. The two ladies were very friendly and enthusiastic. They offered me tastes of the soup and some drinks.  I ordered two sandwichs; one was a Spicy Italian and the other one was the daily special which tasted like a bowl of pho but in a sandwich.   I also ordered a bowl of soup for the sick lady at home. Once I got home we divided up the sandwiches so that we each got one half of each kind. My Spicy Italian was good and much better than what chain sub shops offer but otherwise not remarkable. The Vietnamese Special was delicious. It tasted fresh and was made with care. I preferred it to the Spicy Italian.  My wife enjoyed the soup which had pieces of bread in it. Everything had a homemade taste to it. The location is a bit awkward until you know where it is. Basically it's in South Edmonton Common but at the very south east corner backing onto Parsons Rd.   The next time I want take-out this is where I'm going. Note that they don't serve coffee . There's lots of parking though. More...

Second review (August 2019):Got the chicken bah mi ($12)Chicken breast, hoisin marinade, spicy Asian sesame, garlic aioli, pickled carrot, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño. The short version of this review would be that it's pretty much parallel to my first review. However the stand out in this sandwich is that I like how they kept the ingredients to a minimum... so aside from the chicken, really the sandwich only had pickled carrots, red onions, cilantro and jalepeños. I'm not saying this as a negative point, I'm saying it as a positive, because what I feel is the highlight of the sandwich are all the sauces! There are 3 different sauces used, but boy do they work well together! They blended together really nicely! Again, the freshness of the 4 veggies paired with the 3 sauces, YES, I recommend! And again, you might think $12 is pretty pricey for a sandwich, but you get what you pay for in this case. The flavour profile is totally worth it. First review:Got the tandoori chicken sandwich ($11)Tandoori chicken, red onion, green pepper, arugula, cilantro, mango chutney, citrus crema. I love everything going into this sandwich (minus the green peppers, but I will say that I forgot they were in there until I saw it, then I started picking them out, but in all honesty, all the other flavours masked the flavour of the green pepper, and I will admit that it did add a good crunch). Anyways, the green peppers aside, the first obvious greatness of this sandwich was the bread. It was nice and warm and the sandwich itself was heated well. The tandoori chicken was incredibly well seasoned and I've mentioned this before in other reviews, that I like having a bit more sauce and this sandwich was no different. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they didn't put enough, I'm just saying they didn't put enough for *my personal preference*. The amount of cilantro/arugula balanced well with the rest of ingredients and flavours. I was going to give this a 4/5 stars bc of the price, but it tasted too good to care about the priI would absolutely recommend this to others. Good and friendly service! More...

I've been meaning to give Chachi's a try but didn't have the opportunity till  this week to make give it a shot. I had actually ordered through the Ritual app and snagged the $1 deal on a Spicy Italian sandwich. Located in the Pacific Centre food court, it's conveniently located so I was there within 5 minutes. The actual sandwich blew me away, I wouldn't exactly compare it to Meat & Bread for instance but the quality of ingredients used were really good and I'd opt for these guys over a subway any day. The Spicy Italian specifically had a good amount of salami, fresh veggies, jalapeno jack cheese and a red pepper spread that gave just the right amount of kick. The bread was soft and fresh and really made the experience that much better. Now that Chachi's is on my radar I'll make sure to give some of their other sandwiches a try as well as their mac n cheese which I've heard great things about. More...

FINALLY Coquitlam Center food court gets a great Brooklyn style hand crafted sandwich shop. Tried the Cajun Chicken and the Smoked Meat sandwiches and was blown away by how authentic and fresh they were. The breads are oven fresh crusty and hot, the meats fresh carved and the pickles are a "definite must have".To top it all, the owner Darren is a foodie who will take out the time between personally making the culinary creations to chat about his craft. The food is very good. However two pickles, a small parm & truffle Mac and half a grilled cheese sandwich, a lemonade and a can of Diet Coke cost a whopping $20. I split a single person’s meal between myself and my son and it still cost me the price of feeding two adults. The prices for the portion sizes are insane. I'll round up my solid 3.5 since the reviews below me are so dismal. I had the smoked meat sandwich today. It was delicious! Bread could have been toastier but the meat was excellent and the pickles were perfect. I think $13 was on the high side of reasonable, but it was tasty so I would get it again. However, the service was monotone and unfriendly. They need some serious customer service training. Unfortunately these days, the food alone won't be enough to stay open, and unless they step up the service, I don't see them lasting more than a year. Went to the outlets for lunch and settled on Chachi's since they have (openly-advertised) gluten free options. Ordered the Cajun Chicken sandwich with the gluten free bread. Staff were friendly and asked if I had an allergy (maybe to prevent/reduce cross-contamination when making the sandwich). Overall, the sandwich was a 9/10. The bread has a much better taste and consistency than a lot of gluten free bread I've had and the mix of ingredients in the sandwich were delicious. I'd take 1/10 off because it wasn't very big and I could probably eat 3 of them in one sitting - but I am a heavy eater and I hadn't had breakfast. Probably better that it isn't bigger since I'm still awake at work and you probably don't want to eat a giant sandwich and then walk around shopping. I noticed they have a build your own sandwich for $10 and decided to do that instead. To be honest if you look closely, I think the build your own is cheaper than buying their creations (that's considering what you want is on the build your own sandwich menu eg. pulled pork is not). Yum! I had the Spicy Cajun sandwich today, and I was not disappointed. The artisanal bun was soft and really, really fresh. The tomato slices were juicy, and the lettuce was nice and crispy. I also really enjoyed the Cajun flavour (although it wasn't even close to being spicy, at least not by my Chillihead standards). I probably would have given this place five stars, if they had just given me more meat on my sandwich. Having larger portions of chicken would have gone a long way to making the sandwich more satisfying. Which brings me to my next point. The sandwhich was definitely on the smaller side. I'm only 5'2 and it didn't fill me up (gonna have to go grab another meal after this since my stomach is still rumbling). All things considered, I'd buy this sandwich again. Yes, the sandwich is on the pricy side, but honestly? I don't care. It just tasted so damn good. There's something about fresh, good quality ingredients that a Subway sandwhich can't replicate (and I love Subway, don't get me wrong). If you skipped a meal and need something to fill you up, skip this place. If you need a perfect afternoon snack, then this place won't disappoint. More...
