I honestly hate like I feel I have to do this. I have reached out to Tyler McLellan, the General Manager of the Charlottetown store on the morning of Monday,May the 4th concerning the absolute poor service I've received from a member of his sales team, Tyler Jurkowski. I want to start off by saying I do realize that this is a difficult times for all businesses with Covid-19, and I get that and I understand that things have to be done differently because of the virus. Maintaining physical distancing is obviously key to flattening the curve, however customer service does not have to be completely ignored because of it. The manager had told me he would communicate with his sales team and i'd receive a follow up call. No such call had happened, I'm still waiting for this follow up call. On Tuesday, April the 28th I went to the store and met with the sales person, Tyler Jurkowski. At the time I had expressed interest in a bike and had been preapproved for a 2020 yamaha bolt! It was a rather exciting moment, given all of the things going on around the world right now. I felt it would be a great distraction to hop on the bike and ride, and temporarily forget about everything that's happening around the world! When I had met Tyler on this day I had explained to him that I would put $3000 down on this bike, but would like gear to be included in the deal. I specifically said I wanted a helmet, jacket, and gloves. Tyler had told me that it wouldn't be an issue and had promised that we could attach all of the gear into the loan so I wouldn't have to dish out all of my money all at once. At this time I was sold! Lets fast forward now to Friday, May the 1st.... 3 days later... i had left work a hour early to go pick up my new motorcycle after obtaining all of the paperwork and insurance needed to leave the dealership. I met up with Tyler inside the dealership and mentioned to him again that i needed the proper gear so i could drive my bike home. He told me "don't worry buddy, we'll get you whatever gear you need." I had mentioned that this was my first time purchasing a bike and i was rather excited as I always wanted to own a bike but just never pursued that dream that's always been in the back of my mind. Tyler grabbed all of the required paperwork for me to begin signing. After signing the first 2 or 3 pages he disappeared. When he came back he told me he needed a void check, and my deposit. I emailed him a void check and etransferred him my deposit for the bike, which took about 30 minutes from the time I sent it until the time he received it. This is normal for my etransfers using my bank. I had finished signing all of the papers and Tyler said he would shine up the bike to get the dust off of it from sitting upstairs and disappeared again behind the taped off area where only staff was allowed to go. He was speaking with his coworkers in an office and waiting for my etransfer to arrive. After it had arrived he yelled my name from across the shop, gave me a thumbs up and said i was "good to go" and then turned around and walked away. This sales person didn't meet my needs with supplying me with the proper gear to safely leave the shop as we had agreed to on both occassions when I had brought up the topic. I ended up purchasing $650 worth of gear online because this sales person lied and failed to follow through with our agreement! I was a little shocked when he yelled my name and told me i'm good to go. My thoughts were, ok, he never showed me anything about the bike. Literally nothing. I didn't even know where the keys were. No one presented me with the keys to my brand new bike. I headed out the door to find the keys in the ignition of my dirty, dusty bike. He didn't polish it up like he had said that he would. I then had to go back inside and purchase a helmet, that i was told would be included in the deal, so i could get the bike home. If you are debating purchasing anything I'd recommend trying the store in summerside, or go somewhere else because the service here is beyond terrible and if you have to make the purchase in the charlottetown store, try to avoid Tyler Jurkowski at all costs! This sales person took my money, didn't tell me a thing about the bike, didn't clean it up, and didn't tell me where my keys were once the deal was completed. He just turned his back to me and walked away. I know, myself personally, will never make another purchase at your store and will never recommend anyone to step foot inside your doors. More...
