I picked up a lovely arrangement 4 weeks ago for a friend who was feeling a bit down in the dumps. I had asked that I would like it to include some Chinese Lantern “flowers” and that it should be bright and colourful. My friend loved it! I ordered from New Brunswick a basket of africain violets with purple ribbon and purple butterflies for a grieving friend who loves purple, and they made a mess of it. It’s no where near what I ordered. I understand that there might be substitutions but to use a different and lesser quality basket was ok but to put bright blue see through ribbon that was stuck around the flowers instead of on the handle, no bow, and to haphazardly stick in 2 PINK (she hates pink) butterflies made it even uglier and it looks cheap yet I paid a lot. If they had communicated with me that they couldn’t do it like the photo on their website I would have chosen something else. The manager gave me excuses after excuses and wouldn’t own up to the fact that they messed up. He offered to pick it up 2 days later and give me my money back... and my grieving friend wouldn’t have had anything, or a 10% discount which I eventually talked him into giving me at least 30%. He didn’t want to see the photos I have to prove how bad it is! He really is blind if he thinks this basket is acceptable. My local grocery store does better. After messing up this badly he should have given me a full refund and left the basket with my grieving friend. Please beware if ordering by phone or website! Make sure that you’re getting what you ordered. I feel like I was scammed. See the attached photo of what I ordered and what my friend received. More...
