We've eaten there twice this week and both meals were terrific. Â The first night we had the lamb pizza and duck breast special. Â Last night we had the calamari (sauteed and not breaded), the bread with tomato, polenta and Brussel sprouts. Â The flavors were all distinct and amazing. Â We had great servers and sat on their lovely patio. Â Highly recommend. More...

Been coming to Whistler for more than 20 years and owned a place here for seven -- yet never had been to Caramba. Today was my wife's birthday. She is gluten free and we chose Caramba. It was amazing. We split a calamari starter and she had a seafood past and I had the lamb rigatoni. Literally THE best meal in Whistler ever. And terrific service. Can't wait to go back More...

We had tried a couple other places. One was closed for a private event, the other had a 30 min wait. We found this restaurant and walked right in. We were all really hungry so we were happy to be seated right away. It seems like most of the town closes around 9 including the liquor stores. Our server knew where the open liquor stores were since we had just gotten in to town. We ordered a few appetizers and drinks along with our meals. The Brussel sprouts were crispy and flavorful. The calamari was light and tender as there was no breading. Â The food was served timely and hot and we devoured it all. More...

Great Calamari. Probably the best I have ever had. Jess served us. She is a very friendly Aussie who gave us some good tips for our upcoming trip to Australia. Prices remain reasonable. We had spaghetti and meatballs. Meatballs were nice and spicy. We were able to enjoy outside dining on a great day to enjoy some good people watching as well. Always interesting in Whistler. More...

This is a go to place for me. Â Great Happy Hour - the Sangria is awesome and so are most of the Tapas. Â The grilled calamari, Scottish eggs, olives, and bruschetta are highly recommended. Â Good for dinner though at times the pizzas are a little overcooked. Â Good vibe. More...

We came here for Happy Hour. They were busy and the hostess was not very nice, the atmosphere was a bit stiff as well. But our server and the food made up for it. We had the Rose Sangria, I liked the touch of green apple, light, perfect for a warm and sunny afternoon. Good price for drinks and small plates. The tuna poke was tasty with just enough seasame oil, nice pairing with a thin crispy house made light cracker. The calamari was not breaded, had full flavor with the seasonings and a nice aioli. We were not impressed with the meatballs, spicy and over powering our other selections. We will choose differently next time. Mike our server was attentive, personable, welcoming and gave recommendations for neighboring resturants. We will be back! More...

Small menu, but great food and wine. Saturday morning came, and we didn't have a reservation for dinner. Not good. Luckily, I was able to snag a dinner reservation thru Yelp. If you are looking for great food, Caramba is the place. The menu is not that big, but what is offered is delicious. The atmosphere was very busy. The place does offer pizzas and some kids were there, but the restaurant wasn't overly noisy. We started with a great bottle of wine and some calamari. The wine was good, but had a slight aftertaste that went away after the server brought us a decanter. The calamari wasn't breaded and we loved it. I could have made a meal of the calamari.I started with a tasty wedge salad. The dressing was great as was the bleu cheese. My entree was the cioppino. Plenty of tasty fish and seafood. My buddy had the venison strip and loved it.For dessert, I had a coffee with liqueur. The server recommended one of the coffee drinks and I enjoyed it.We loved our server. Very attentive and kept us happy. With Caramba, we may have found a restaurant to revisit the next time we are in town. More...

Excellent, my favourite restaurant in Whistler. Really great food, especially for the price which is very reasonable.Their Fried Chicken sandwich 5/5 is fantastic, and all the pasta dishes I've had (pesto tagliatelle 3. 5/5 and a remarkable Mac and cheese 5/5) across multiple visits are consistent and tasty. They do things well here, Â even the house salad was well thought out and delicious. Attentive, friendly service as well and a nice atmosphere on the patio in the summer or in the dining room in the winter. We came most recently on a cold but sunny Sunday in March at lunch time and it was easy to get a table for 6. Same for when we came in the middle of the summer for lunch. Will be back (probably in the next few days). More...

Make a reservation. Â If not you will be waiting for a long time. Â Luckily we made one weeks ago for a party of 8. Â We were seated promptly and soon went into drinks and apps. Â The apps are a little smaller. Â We got:Apps:Calamari - good. Â Please note they are not fried.Meatballs - good. Â Please note the sauce does have a little kick to it (spicy).Octopus - good, but so small for $17.Mains: the special was steelhead which was good. Â I loved the lamb ragu bolognese sauce. Â Couple people got the steelhead, pizzas, and steak. Â I found all of the dishes to be great.Desserts: we all got tiramisu or the panna cotta which was so good.Overall the experience was great and the food is good. Â The servers may have been overwhelmed which made them appear to be a little unfriendly, but they were stressed. Â Overall, i would come back again in a heartbeat! More...

Came here because a colleague of mine praised their pizzas that he enjoyed there before. I was craving pizza today and gave the place a try. Before I got to it tho, i noticed their seafood chowder. Being a chowder lover, i had to give it a try and sure wasn't disappointed. Theirs is different from what you'd normally get (Manhattan, New England or Rhode Island), but very unique and flavorful. I'll have to come back just for it alone! Now to the pizza, my colleague didn't disappoint either with his recommendation. I like their crust, which to me, is key to a great pizza. Without it, the toppings can't make it a great pizza. This one was phenomenal and I enjoyed every bit of it. I have their spicy Calabrese. If I could change one thing on it, slightly less cheese underneath. But all in all, stellt experience here!! This of course, is inclusive of the top notch service received by our waitress. More...

Or trusty Germans shepherd was allowed and lying under our feet. Â What a lovely set up. Service was affable and genuine. Food was very good - whistler in general has stepped up their food over the years. I really enjoyed the grilled calamari and scotch egg dishes. Â 2 of my favorites! Can't remember what else we had. We visited Whistler and tried a BUNCH of places to eat from fine dining to more casual establishments. Â Caramba was a sleeper hit. Â Didn't expect to be wowed but when someone we ran into at another, less impressive place, recommended it, we decided to give it a try. Â Everything we ordered was great. Â My pasta was full of flavor and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Â The waiter was friendly but not overly intrusive and the prices were a bit less than another place we went to the night before where we had bad service and the food was underwhelming. Â We will be back and won't bother with the other places next time we are in Whistler. Â This is a family favorite! More...

Came around 5:30, reservation was for 6:00 but they did not have a problem seating us. We had a group of eight and were seated at the back of the restaurant, perfect for us but if you want to see and be seen the front is best for that. Service was great, drinks refilled regularly and wait staff was attentive but not in our faces. We had the calamari as well as the braised meatballs and a Caesar salad for shared appetizers. The meatballs were really good, ordered a second plate as the kids ate one plate themselves. For mains we had the lamb, Â pesto and goat cheese pizza, wild salmon, spaghetti & meatballs as well as the roasted chicken and the tagliatelle pesto pasta. Everything was well done, cooked perfectly and rated a solid 4*. Only make it up to Whistler once or so every year and with the wealth of great restaurants this one is in the pack for providing good food at prices competitive with some of the other way more expensive places. Will return! More...

Very good dinner with across-the-board solid Italian style food. The restaurant itself has a open kitchen format and is very noisy on the inside probably because sound echoes. The staff is warm and friendly, but definitely rushing around. Our waitress' food recommendations were on point. We passed on the wine because alcohol is painfully expensive in Canada. We shared four food orders and each one was very well-crafted and tasty. The braised lamb shank is super tender, well flavored, falls off the bone and lives on top of a risotto that is a touch too salty but contains the most delightful well caramelized shallots. The mushroom and pancetta pizza has well-balanced flavor and a super delicious crust that tastes faintly of olive oil, though I felt that the mushrooms were flavored a bit too sour. The calamari is a naked calamari, cooked right on the border of a little too cooked, paired with a delicious parsley aioli. The linguine tutti di mare has perfectly cooked linguine with a generous portion of scallops, shelled clams and shrimp on top.Overall: food is very good, servers are friendly. A good place to go as a family. More...

After having tasters we ordered 2. We had the lamb wrap. It was really good. Also the Caramba burger with 2 patties and bacon and lastly the linguine frutti di mare. $25.
