Josh Taylor was able to teach me how to properly walk Monty in 5 lessons. Monty is well on his way to behaving when he meets other dogs on our walks. No more express walks for us!

My wife and I met Josh for the first time (not the last) in April 2014. We had adopted a rescue, Indy and desperately needed some behavioral advice. We were already signed up with another school but after meeting with Josh, we cancelled and signed up with him for private lessons.

He told us any dog can be trained with any type of collar....we were very skeptical....but it was true. The obedience was amazing - new techniques for us and Indy responded very well. Unfortunately, there were some extreme behaviors with Indy that just weren't working out for us. We had to return him.

We had already had our second pup reserved and Skye the black lab came to us at the end of June. We signed up for kindergarten classes and the basic obedience I class with Canine Education. The socialization was excellent for Skye and we were taught what to look for when dogs meet.

That was very important for us as our other lab, Ben from 14 years ago was bit in the face at 8 months old. My wife was more traumatized than Ben was, which led to Ben not being as well socialized with other dogs. Passing other dogs on the street was an issue.

Skye's body language between small and large dogs is evident. She knows to restrain herself when they are smaller. We've even met with Josh again recently for a private session as Skye is the worst puller we've ever had. He taught us positive reinforcement with treats which worked with her instantly. Now walking is a pleasure instead of a nightmare. If only we could train squirrels to stay away....all would be perfect.

Josh Taylor and Canine Education were a crucial part of our successful adoption of our dogs, Robyn and Sila.
As much as the dogs were trained, my husband and I and our sons learned so much about their integration into our home and our neighbourhood.
The lessons were fun and the progress of both dogs was amazing because we learned how to practice successfully between lessons.
Josh and the other trainers are always available by phone or messaging to answer questions and give advice.
The accompaniment to choose our second dog was so valuable and her addition was so successful because of Canine Education.
The fee is so reasonable and the best money we ever spent.
I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Canine Education.

Josh Taylor and Canine Education are remarkable dog trainers. I absolutely can't believe the difference Josh has made in our dog and in our lives. Our nearly 4 year old Coton de Tulear wanted to nip at anyone who came to the door. In just one visit Josh taught me how to manage this behavior. We continued with the training sessions and received fantastic results. I would also like to mention that Canine Education is very economical and the initial consultation is free. Amazing ! Josh is currently working with 2 of our dogs , one in private 1 on 1 sessions and the other one in the puppy group class. Every time we go to the dog park people ask us where are we training our 3 months old Berneddodle, lol ! The group classes are very well structured and fun to attend & the private sessions are extremely resourceful. I would definitely recommend Canine Education to any dog owner. Looking forward More...

I just wanted to thank Josh for all of his excellent help and insights. We just completed our first series of 1-on-1 sessions with our two dogs (Timber, a 3 year old Husky/Border Collie from Animatch, and our recent addition, Jade, a Border Collie rescue from NY state). Josh helped us bring Jade from a frenetic car-lunging BC to a car-watching BC, which is a big step. Josh has a very reassuring, calm and dog-positive attitude, which in my opinion is worth every penny and more. Josh, thank you and we look forward to the next steps. I have a very anxious four-year-old Australian Shepherd who was very reactive to loud noises, people she didn't like, things that move, you name it. After just a couple of lessons with Josh, she's so much calmer and responsive. He helped us better understand what was triggering her and how to respond accordingly. Our house is so much calmer and she's much happier.

I have been working with Josh for a few weeks now 1 on 1 after attending puppy training and I am already seeing great improvements in both my dog and myself. After suffering a tragic loss with my previous dog, this training is as much for me as it as it for my dog in getting me to trust the process and be a calm dog owner. Canine Education was the perfect place to start with our adopted Siberian Husky from Animatch. My family had a Golden Retriever in the past, but we quickly realized that Balto (our new Husky puppy) was far more independent and would not be as effortless to turn him into a well-behaved, obedient canine citizen.

Josh was equipped with such a wealth of knowledge and experience that after just a few sessions with him we felt lightyears more confident in our ability to raise our new family member in a way that accounted for our dog's unique characteristics and temperament.
