Awesome place! It is small but mighty! We had gone to Spirit Halloween and didn’t find what we were looking for so we tried here and wow they have a lot to choose from! Such a great experience :)

Came in here for a Halloween Adult costume for an event. Â The instore selection was limited but they more than made up for it in service. Â Very friendly and accommodating staff. Â They immediately found a medium costume that fit without alterations, and offered great suggestions on how to further accessorize the costume. Â Making it even better. Â Very pleased that I didn't have to go through tons of costume ideas. Â It literally took minutes for them to find what I wanted. Â I'll make sure this is the costume store for me. Great place to buy your Ben Nye products - as I come here to purchase them and the woman behind the counter is always willing to help, she's friendly and attentive. She also gave me some great advice about the Ben Nye products since they're used more for cinema and stage performers it's actually resistant more so than regular makeup to perspiration and sweat. It is a travesty that so far this is one of the only places to buy those products I so dearly love but that's just fine. Other than that I gave them minus one point because I wish they were a bigger store/franchise so I wouldn't have to go uptown all the time just to re-up on products. Like Charlotte, I visited Candy's to buy a mask for the Elite Masquerade event*. The store has an amazing selection for costumes and all of the related accessories. I perused the store to notice their assortment of costume makeup (Ben Nye theatrical makeup, Cryolan, clown paint, etc.), as well as the creepier aspects of costumes like fake blood, vampire teeth and zombie contact lenses. The staff was very helpful despite being inundated with teenaged shoppers hunting for Halloween costumes. I purchased a plain glittery cat eye masque and embellished it on my own with pearls and ribbon from the local craft store. All in all, Candy's is easily one of the best places in Toronto to get all your costume needs. ---------* And just like her, I consulted the comprehensive product listing on their website prior to making the trip there.
