They have pretty good chicken. Every time I order the boneless breast and it's a fair portion size with good seasoning and coating.

Just ate here for the first time since moving to Maple Ridge.. very much enjoyed it!! Someone below said the chicken was like KFC and the fries like Costco, not sure if they meant that as a negative, but I think that's a pretty good winning combo!

For the first time, I tried Brownies: Jan 4/19. I never knew this place existed until one of the Foodies I follow had comments on his recent review of a new chicken place in PoCo, about Brownies. Hubby & I ordered a 4pc meal: came with 4pcs of chicken (half orig. & half spicy), fries, & a tiny cole slaw salad. As well as 1 pc cod & fries, cuz somewhere on a review I read the fish & chips are also really good here! (AND IT WAS!) That night, we also went to Church's (Coq @Johnson), Popeyes (PoCo @Hawkins) & Brownies (Maple Ridge @Dewdney Trunk Rd) to compare the chicken flavours: half & half from all. Popeyes & Brownies were quite good, but I have to say Brownies' chicken was yummier! :) Holy, who knew there really is a difference in deep fried chicken!! I'm so glad there are people who review restaurants cuz I would have never discovered BROWNIES CHICKEN & SEAFOOD!! The only sad thing is that it's quite a ways from where I live. :'( More...

Good chicken whether regular or cajun. There is a fair bit of meat on the chicken pieces unlike some other fried chicken places. Coleslaw is decent but I'd avoid the biscuits. Phone ahead for a pickup order and it will be waiting for you (again unlike some other fried chicken places). More...

It was my first time there today and OMG  the deep fried pickles are amazing and huge portion!!! Had two big pieces of white meat chicken which were cooked to perfection.... I'm so going back.

My buddy Mike parents own this place and it's gotta be the best homemade chicken place I have went took in a long time the spicy is to die for and the reg is off the hook love this place worth every penny :) plus I always get a extra piece must be cause I'm always in there gotta love my small-town chicken places :)

Best fried chicken i have tried compared to KFC and Church's chicken.  It is juicier and fresher.  But the gravy's sucks.  So I have to go to KFC to buy the gravy and go to this store to buy the chicken .  I would talk to their manager about the gravy next time.... Tired of cooking, and wanting a treat, I suggested we take a trip across the bridge to Haney and try the re-opened Brownies Chicken. Sweet lawd, so happy we did! It was quiet when we got there, about 7 pm on a Sunday, the crowd piled in behind us. And yet, we were in and out in about ten minutes! We ordered quickly, not really checking out the menu (mistake!) but as I looked over, I saw all the other fantastic offerings. Biscuits? Why didn't I see biscuits earlier Oh, it smelled so good! It was a very long 30 minute drive home! The chicken was amazing. So crunchy and crispy, (but not greasy), wonderfully moist and cooked to perfection! We stood at the counter, eating the first piece right out of the box. LOL The fries are NOT anything like Costco's, as I read in a review somewhere. They are a bigger, "steak fry" that was sooo good. Nicely golden with a fluffy inside. Now I'm whiny because I didn't get gravy! But we did get coleslaw. YUM! Crunchy, with the perfect dressing. Not that too tart vinegary, or the thick cloying, over sweet nonsense. Just right. It's the only side dish you need. (other than gravy, biscuits and maybe some popcorn shrimp!) LOL I've only given a 4 out of 5 stars until we try the rest of the menu, but until then, we will definitely be making Brownies a regular treat! =D. Was visiting relatives in Maple Ridge and couldn't believe it when I saw Brownies posted on Yelp. Went straight there and it was like a blast from the past. The chicken was so good and the fries and gravy just like I remembered it. Im a regular there now even though I have to drive from Surrey and pay bridge tolls to get my Brownies fix. Good, crispy and not overly greasy fried chicken. Haven't tried the fish or anything else. Fries are the same as the ones in the food court at Costco. Crisp and not soggy. Salads are pretty standard. A much better alternative to KFC More...

Seeing a Brownies Chicken open up in our neighbourhood brought back childhood memories, so I was excited to test it out!  I was pleasantly surprised of the variety of products!  I has to order the chicken and waffles for 7.99.  It was made to order, in fact I had to wait for the waffles.  It came with two pieces boneless chicken strips, that was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.  I'm not a big fan of white meat, but if it was tender and as juicy S this, I'm sold.  I really love the sweet and salty combination, that's why this dish appealed to me!  It came with a container of syrup and two Belgian waffles in a "pizza box"!  I also ordered the 6 pack of chicken which has 6pc of mixed white and dark meat, fries, and a choice of salad or gravy!  There was a choice of regular recipe or Cajun.  I choice regular.  The chicken was hot and decent size.  I was pretty satisfied with the service and quality of the food.  Next time, I look forward to ordering the fish and chips.  It is beer battered with Corona!  I will be back! When I realized the owners opened this place a few weeks ago, I flocked here to have some delicious fried chicken. These really pleasant people have been doing this for decades and never disappoint! I shared the 6 piece meal with a friend and we both had leftovers. This time I had the Cajun chicken burger and it was dynamite! The toasted bun topped it off for me. Still couldn't finish the whole thing in 1 sitting. My only suggestion would be to include a small gravy with the individual combos. Who can resist real chicken gravy, especially with the fries that are to absolutely die for. This place could easily put KFC out of business hands down. Check it out if you love fried chicken! Brownies chicken and seafood wow!  Formerly  Joe Blows.  Since the closing of Joe Blows I have waited and waited for them to reamerge. What a Gem ! They have re-opened with a very bright,shiny,clean new location. They seem to be focusing more on the take out side of things now.  I  have already been in twice since opening ! Their chicken is so crisp and juicy it is unbelievable, you can try original or Cajun ... no wonder why it is always packed.... not crazy about chicken Well these guys also know how to do fish and chips right... their previous location Joe Blows was a fish and chip joint.  Today I got one of the chicken sandwiches to go and for 8.99 you cannot go wrong. The juicy crispy fried chicken that flows over the edge of the soft bun is dressed with a delicious sauce, cheese,a little sliced iceberg lettuce and served with a TON of crispy fries! These fries are not just crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside ! I was going to take my sandwich and fries home  but had to pull over and enjoy the meal in a nearby parking lot... I couldn't wait any longer. After parking I took my seat belt off, moved my seat back and had one of the best chicken sandwiches... it was an almost romantic experience.   Absolutely delicious.  These guys know how to do chicken !  Looking forward to working my way through the ret of their menu.
