About

BCA, previously named BB Architecture, has been established in 2011 as the partnership between the firms of Sorin Birliga Architect (SBA) founded in 1993, and Eric Barker Architect, with Xavier Crespo as Associate Architect. Xavier replaced Eric as a partner in 2018.



The principals, Sorin Birliga and Xavier Crespo are registered architects with over 50 years of aggregate experience and operated in Victoria since 1988 and 2008, respectively.

BCA delivers complex projects of various types, with focus on residential, healthcare and educational facilities.

Building types: new, additions and renovations, tenant improvements, heritage restoration / rehabilitation.

Project types: residential, educational, healthcare, institutional, administrative, business, commercial, cultural, sport and recreation, religious, and industrial facilities

Services: our services extend to the full spectrum of architectural practice.

Sustainability and occupants’ health and wellness are high priorities in our practice. The members of our team are experienced LEED accredited professionals. SBA is consistently engaged in, and promotes sustainable design and construction practices even for projects that are not intended for LEED or other types of certification
