Birch & Anchor

I'm not a fan of shared tables in general but we were also seated directly next to the live preformer(who was great!) but it was so loud we were screaming just to talk to each other. So our romantic night out for a long time, was not enjoyable.

We were forgotten about for over an hour, drank all our water in the first 15 minutes and never got a refill. I believe the waitress brought our food to a table that was seated long after we arrived as we didn't get our food for about an hour and a half and not until a head waiter noticed and went to check on out food. waitress brought out our food but went to multiple tables with it asking whose it was. steak was so chewy and had no flavor I couldn't eat it or swallow it all. For the price, portions were small. A handful of fries and a small steak for 32 dollars.

As this was our Valentines date and we don't go out much, I was very disappointed with our experience.

live performer was great, the tall waiter with blonde hair and glasses was a nice guy. But terrible food and wait time... and being served after so many others who sat down after us... I won't be back. More...

I’ve been to Birch & Anchor a few times since they have opened. We did wait in line on one of the busy nights, but the tables turned over quickly and the 1 hour wait we were given an estimate for, was actually about 30 minutes. Understandably, they are still working out the kinks as most businesses do when they are new. Also, as anticipated, they have been slammed with crowds a lot of the time with the nice weather we’ve been having, especially during peak hours. With covid 19, and all the restrictions/regulations, they obviously cannot operate at full capacity, and they are doing a great job following protocols and keeping their patrons safe, so long wait times are just nature of the beast at this point. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We had a table of 5 people and our food came within 10 mins of ordering. The grounds are clean, the view and atmosphere are like no other restaurant/beer garden spots in a locale like Bedford, so it’s definitely worth a try. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but in my opinion, the majority of people would agree that it will be one of the best spots to spend a few hours eating, having some drinks and socializing, without having to commute downtown and pay for parking! Just don’t think you’ll get your appie before the main course. It should be stated that it all comes at once. I was enjoying my wine waiting for Cheese board.
