Of course my husband had to be open to the healing and working the 12 steps and making many changes. But Aurora and the men and women who counselled him, made his meals, trained him in the gym. The nurses in the detox portion of the facility, sharing their stories. Offering support and guidance are what really made the difference. He has celebrated his 9th month sober and without Aurora and their staff it wouldn’t have been possible! I highly recommend this facility, as well as their out patient program. I did not go there by choice, it took me a while to actually give it a chance. The members started opening up to me and I started attending the classes/schedule. Soon I started loving being there, everybody is so understanding and supportive. I honestly wish I never wasted my first month there. I have met the most amazing and caring people there, if I could live there I would. It’s definitely a place where you learn about yourself and learn to live an awesome life without drugs and/or alcohol. I was only suppose to be there for 45 days but extended, I ended up being there for 3 1/2 months. Worth it for sure, if you have a chance to go I would for sure recommend going there. Aurora is truly amazing and life changing. The staff were the best, just like family! the food was good! Intense counselling, group sessions, and therapy’s were very helpful as many of them lived the life of addiction so we could relate on many levels! ! The friends i made in there were awesome and so welcoming!! this place was much more than expected and were everything that I needed to move on in my life! This place save my life!!
