Hardwood Floor Installation
One of the reasons we chose this company to install hardwood floors throughout our house was that they assured us it would be done before we moved into the house, a one-week period.
Unfortunately, they didn't deliver the wood right away (even though they had it for a couple weeks). This pushed back the start date. That, combined with an installer who never showed up on time and rarely did a full 8-hour day of work, meant that the job was mostly done when furniture and boxes filled the house. The fact the house was full of furniture was then used as an excuse for the delays in getting it done.
Maybe we could have forgotten that, but the wood itself was not a good product. The finish peels off quite easily and we're still finding spots where we need to use a wood pen to hide it.
Add to that the fact that the staircase and two steps down to the living room were not even close to a match (flooring is medium brown, nosings a very dark brown), nor were they properly sealed with any clear coat, means that we can't enjoy the floors although we have to live with them.
We got another company to come in and fix what they could and to apply clear coat. I did not trust Advantage Flooring to fix it themselves, although they did offer to.

I want to start by saying sorry that fhr client isnt happy with the service. We pride ourselves on doing a great job for all our clients. Unfortunately, their are alot of incorrect and dishonest items about this post. The wood purchased was prefinished and had many coats of protective coats on it. You can not just add a coat as the client is describing. The wood arrived on time and the delay occurred because our main installer fell very ill and could not continue. We quickly pulled in another chief installer, worked over the weekend and got the project completed. The Client's were not available for a final walk through and frustrated the process throughout. The wood was approved on delivery as was the colour of the wood. This is the first we are hearing about a colour issue. We are very sorry again that the client was not happy eith the service and wish them best of luck in the future.
