I brought my dog to Viola as he was experiencing issues with other male dogs. We did a total of 4 sessions and Viola was able to equip me with the skills necessary to manage his bad behaviour and to work on changing it. Viola brought her own dog to help during the training as well. I have seen a huge difference as a result of working with Viola! We have a 1yr old Walker Foxhound and a 3 year old pug mix who essentially were ruling our household. They are both sweet dogs but we dealt with barking, lunging, difficulty walking them as they kept pulling. My 1yr old even started being a little aggressive towards us because of resource guarding. We are very pleased with the results of working with Viola with our ten year old wheaten terrier. In his older age he had become quite reactive with most other dogs, making his daily walks unpleasant stressful events. Viola met with us at a local park where we learned new ways to deal with his particular issues in a realistic setting. The training was very manageable for us to continue with on our own. We had great results right away which we continue to build on, and our walks are once again enjoyable. Our dog seems to enjoy the whole process and instead of tense he is engaged with us and happy. Viola is a dog whisperer! She is very professional, patient and her sessions are fun due to her positive attitude. It was tough to bring my dog for walks as she kept getting stressed out and barked or lunged at most people or dogs walking by. Viola's advice and training methods helped calm her down and now the walks are much more enjoyable. She also knows lots of tricks to keep your dog active and curious. We’ve been working with Viola in our home with our puppy Rose since the day after we brought her home. Viola is Awesome! She offered us valuable information about setting up and caring for our new puppy during the initial phase of bringing her into our home . Viola is a gem! It used to be so stressful walking my collie Mélia, she would bark and lunge at other dogs and cars. Viola helped me understand why Mélia was exhibiting the behaviour and gave me the tools to correct her. Within days I was also to walk her on Elgin and Bank street - I couldn't believe it. Some other problem areas, like whining when I come home or barking at strangers who come to the door, were fixed within a session or two. Now we both really enjoy our walks and people come up to me on the street and compliment my well trained dog! The best part is that I have a stronger bond with my Mélia and I also have the confidence to handle any situation that comes our way. Viola is understanding, patient and truly cares about your pet. If you have behaviour problems with your dog and are looking for some help I highly recommend "a pawsitive difference". Viola Larkin, a private dog trainer come to your house and help you teach your dog how to behave. She came at my house twice for an hour. My big Khalie, a goldendoodle, needed to learn how to greet people at home, how to walk with me, how to sit, stay, how to behave in public. In 4 years I haven't been able to do it.
