Called in the evening and spoke to the owner Sam. He was very nice and scheduled to have my driveway done within a week! On the day of his son Ryan was the one who came to do it. He was also very nice, and I really appreciated that he took the time to explain to me the different types of asphalt, and why they use the durable commercial kind instead of residential. 401 Paving far exceeded our expectations! Our driveway was in a horrendous state of repair and Sam and his team saved us from our driveway nightmare.
They also did an incredible job repairing some additional stone work for us.
Sam provided us with a quote which we could not refuse, but it was his honesty that sold us. When speaking with him, you get a real sense of who he is and see that he is a man of integrity. Sam took the time to accurately "diagnose the problem" with our driveway, discuss various options, and explain the entire process to us, in detail. Sam and his team were very friendly and extremely courteous. Without hesitation, I would HIGHLY recommend 401 Paving to anyone. Our driveway and front walkway were in terrible shape - uneven, cracked and unsafe. I called several companies from homestars, but when they found out I lived closer to downtown, they refused to even come and quote the job - despite saying that they worked in Toronto on the listing. 401 Paving was happy to come and give us a quote. Sam the owner is an engineer and took the time to explain his recommendations for our narrow driveway and 100 year old house. He knew what he was talking about, especially when it came to drainage and grading, which were two of our primary concerns. Sam and his team at 401 paving did an excellent job removing all the old concrete and asphalt, regrading and laying new asphalt and interlock. They arrived when they said they would and finished the job on time. The final job looks excellent and is much safer, which is very important given we have a new baby.Overall we were very happy with the work that was done and would highly recommend 401 Paving. More...

The removal of the old single drive way and widening was done on schedule and the new double width drive was dug and filled with gravel. We were asked to drive on it for a number of months and in due course the crew called and set a date to place the new pavement.
