This review is from a skipthedishes order. Keep that in mind when reading this review. Also keep in mind this was on new years Eve. The food in quantity was fine however in taste and quality it was lacking. The fish on all 3 meals were tough/chewy either frozen from the back of the freezer or old and overcooked, lacking in flavour. Fries tasted off like they were prepared in old oil somehow the ends were overcooked while the middle of the fry was soggy. I can not speak about the quality when eating at the restaurant. I’ve had fish all over the world, fish n chips being a favourite. This restaurant is a typical diner style. It has decent haddock, cod, halibut fillets with a medium to light weight batter. Fresh cut fries are good. Having said that, the meals are way over priced. I’ve been to other comparable places in Ontario and I’ve never paid almost $30 for 2 pieces of fish n chips and a drink plus tax. (3 pieces, maybe I would). Stopped here before many times, but on this magical May 20th, 2025 was the best time when the planets aligned, harmony was felt, and dogs and cats were getting along. It was a busy day at work, so I decided to eat light. Fish for the win. (Fin) 😄 Kaitlin was friendly, was an excellent server, and the food came out so fast and hot. They chef brought it out himself. He was a bigger guy, yet gingerly and graceful as a ballerina making his way to the table, think I even saw him pirouette back into the kitchen at one point. As I have always said in all my food reviews, I always trust a big chef. You don't want to buy a car from a guy who never drives, right?? Never trust a skinny chef. I had a simple Cod and shrimp meal for $20 and still have 20 minutes to kill before going back to work. What do you love most about your job?
My mission is to help as many people as possible live better lives. I am a retired Police Sergeant with 24 years of policing service, extensive experience in operating my family business and now I am happy to be helping other people gain control over their lives and achieve their dreams.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Initially, my goal was to become a consultant that helps business owners grow from one retail location to multiple locations. My focus shifted when I discovered Hypnosis and I saw how radically I could change people's lives using this knowledge. Now, I help people by working with them 1:1, or in a group setting in one of my NLP certification training courses.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have been down the road of relying on Hypnosis to create change. It took me years to learn that the profound lasting change really comes from understanding thought structures. I have helped many people who have tried all the traditional models of therapy and they simply did not work.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Roughly 60% of my clients are seen remotely and the results have proven to be every bit as good as the clients that come to my office. If you have privacy, a good internet connection and a desire to make positive change we can easily do this remotely.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I cancel appointments with no fee if a client has symptoms. I disinfect the areas a client has touched, and I use masking if the client feels more comfortable that way.
